Critique

First Colorfistph7 the way you write all run together is a little hard to read. More spaces and a little indenting would help solve that. Also you write like an Ad from Ms and I believe that ads in threads is frowned on.

Second of Office 2010 itself. First I find the idea of internet storage to be scary. After all, anyone could in theory could access you data. That shows a problem of security. I myself prefer storage that is on my own hard drive. Some might find that to be a convenient way to access data from other locations, but the security problems still remind. No sensitive data should be accessed that way.

Next AS Ms might be about to find out, change from a tried and true method is not always a good idea. Major companies might end up retraining employees to do the same thing they have no trouble doing on office 2007. I know for a fact that time and maybe money is wasted trying to find things that were logical placed in 2007 now at seeming illogical places in 2010. The ribbon might be a good idea if Ms would allow complete customization of it. Alas as far as I know, that is not the case. I find that the cost is really high enough to hold off on the upgrade until forced. After all I feel that ms need to learn not to break thing by fixing things that are not broken.

Finally there really are not enough bells and whistles to justify an upgrade from 2007 to 2010. If 2007 or earlier is working for you, then you really have no good justifiable reason to need to upgrade. The learning scale is quite high and a lot of time will be used to relearn how things are done and where they are at.

Who needs Ms. Office 2010 and her ribbons? LibreOffice is free of ribbons and won't take anything from my imaginary pocketbook. ::)

Can I put in a request for this thread to not be deleted? I want to remember it always.

Not that I think the mods would delete someone's intro thread; that would be really mean.
