Aeris is the Japanese name. Aerith is the English one.

shouldn't that be the other way around (aeris=english, aerith=japanese)?

How could her Japanese name be Aerith if there's no th sound in Japanese?

I am unaware of what sounds are and aren't in japanese :V

That's just always what I've heard, because I know it's definitely Aeris in the English version. I'm still not believing Shira, because I have the English version and it clearly says Aeris.

No, I was addressing that when I said that it's definitely Aeris in English, just because it wasn't quoted doesn't mean it was ignored. I even used your name.

I mean yeah, in later games it was changed to Aerith (because that's what people considered more 'correct'), but in FF7, it was Aeris in English.
