Here in the Philippines we only got lucky because they showed some mainstream anime movies consecutively (Naruto: Road to Ninja, One Piece FILM Z, HunterxHunter). Although iirc they showed Lost Ship in the Sky on some theaters last year. 'Side from that anime films generally don't hit the moviehouses here.

Which reminds me, I need to watch the movie of Hunter x Hunter. When will it be showing again?

It's already in theaters. (Actually, it's probably OUT of the theaters by now.)

You actually get to see Anime Movies in the cinema? The only one I can remember playing HERE is Spirited Away.

Just recently. I think those theaters picked out on the anime-fan hype in our country and decided to gain profit out of it.

Although a couple of years back they showed that movie of Yuyu Hakusho on moviehouses so it's not really a new thing.

Literally the only time anime hits cinemas in the UK is when it's a Ghibli movie. Scotland Loves Anime has been working on changing that for the past three years, but cinemas still don't show non-Ghibli movies year-round, only during that festival. I think the first couple Pokemon movies got theatrical releases way back when, but not anymore.

I can totally understand them opting to just show Ghibli movies. :P
