What anime made you cry or come to tears?
For me Clannad has done this to me many times.
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien gave me tears at the ending. Not sure if I'll feel the same with Rumbling Hearts.

Only one for me was Fullmetal Alchemist, episode 24 or 25 I think. Whichever is the one that ends with the funeral.

Oh, man, that one almost got me. That was definately the saddest I've felt during any anime. They milked it too, with his daughter and wife...jeez

I was fine until his daughter started. Once she started it took an otherwise normal anime event and gave it emotions.

FMA.. definitely... such a sad anime. (didn't like the movie, though) but still among my favorites.
And the Clannad movie. Couldn't even hold the tears in.
Also the Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin Reflection movie. But few others, though.

I'm very heartless..

..
but the closest I've come was the end of Bebop..
.. the funny thing is that if I were to watch episode 500 tommorow and let's say, hypothetically, *insert main/supporting characther here* dies.. I'll totally cry. I care alot more for Conan than I ever did for Bebop..

School Days and that episode of FMA about the funeral. School Days didn't make you really cry but it just made you scared.
Also, H2O - Footprints in the Sand had a really great ending. I didn't cry myself, but I can bet it'll be easy to pull out the tissues for it (I'll put it this way: if a guy like me can find no other way than to call it a cute ending, then that means it has to be good.

)

The Rose of Versailles gets me every time... especially episode 39. That episode broke my heart.
A few other anime have caused tears to well up in my eyes, but RoV is the only one to date that will make me completely boo hoo.

Mine was either in sola or Suzuka. Both were kind of love stories and I think both were subbed by Lunar. Call me gay whatever.. lol Those were back in my Bleach and Naruto days.. but I have since given both up. They're turning into DBZ.. the whole like OMG I AM SUPER EPIC EXTREME, HE COMES MY MOVE!!! (Three episodes later) AHAH! HOW DID YOU LIKE THAT SUPER EXTREME BALL OF DOOM?

I honestly don't think I could grow so attached to any form of animation that it would bring tears to my eyes.
If we talk J-Drama though, "Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu". Definitely the saddest thing I've seen, ever. Yay, depression.

For me, it wasn't the animation or even the characters that would do it. It's all in the audio, and whether they can convey the emotion properly or not.

Fate/Stay Night did it to me a couple times.
Shakugan no Shana, too.
Shuffle! did once.

"Hotaru no haka" (Grave of the Fireflies). I cried nonstop, during this film, especially with the tin can thing and Setsuko.
