Everybody does. Why isn't there one? :/
I'd have to assume the logic is either
A. It would be too dark for a Nintendo anime
B. Two versions of Pokemon anime are unnecessary (normal Pokemon anime is never being cancelled at this point)
or C. Two versions of Pokemon anime would be too much for people and both shows would suffer declines in ratings

only C is even remotely valid as far as I'm concerned.
I have to agree. The current anime is a cash cow, whereas the anime adaptation of the manga won't suit the child set (ZOMBIE PSYDUCK) and will probably be mainly watched by fans of the manga.

Dammit, capitalism.

Speaking of Pokémon, I was surprised when in the latest episode, Ash battled Giovanni for the first time

I saw an abridged commentary for that on f***yeahpokemonvillains on tumblr. Funniest thing in the world. Especially respect the totally new and innovative plot twist of the bad guy developing glowing eye and severe insanity when attempting to control weather-associated legendary Pokemon *Archieplz*

Pretty badass to finally see Giovanni and his Persian give Ash a beating for the first time in fifteen years in the first half of the two-parter. Too bad Giovanni then pimped off in his jet lest the show develop an overarching plot.

Psyren has to be animated. The manga already finished so they don't have to worry about catching up to it. The series has a great story, but it was a little rushed near the end in my opinion.

Don't remind me of Ghibli films, I have enough American films to watch as is.

I would say Liar Game but it wouldn't work due to too much dialogue and not enough art/animation.

W Juliet (very good shojo manga)
Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers). There was a Korean live-action drama for it, but an anime would be nice too.
Dengeki Daisy (It's still ongoing so there's still a chance they'll pick it up)

pfft... funny how I've just listed shojo manga...
hmmm....can I think of any shonen ones....

lol...no  I can't... they're all already animes....
