Zenigata is a great police officer. Usual criminals are no match to him, even if they are 2 meters tall and look like the Hulk (remember Zenigata fighting against a whole bunch of ghetto boys in the First Contact TV special?). Lupin is just a bit better then Zenigata. I think that's the reason why people underestimate him. But my favorite character is Lupin.
PS: It's Goemon, not Goemen.

Hard to say a definite favorite, since all the characters are awesome. But my favorite would propably be either Jigen or Zenigata.

That's kinda difficult to decide...
Lupin is great just because he's Lupin (and as a side note: Even though his second voice actor was only imitating the first, the second was way better)
Fujiko... is destructive and clever, so I can't say I don't like her.
Zenigata...
...
...
...*cough* He's cool.
I like guns, and Jigen is the gunman, and he's just all over lovable!
And Goemon (is it just me, or is does he always manage to be mentioned last?) is actually probably my favorites. Even though he has nothing to do with guns, he seems the most huggable

I like Lupin, but Fujiko's my fav. I just think she's hilarious. Plus she actually tends to come out on top XDXDXDXD

more topic necromancy as I actually look at this forum for the first time
my favorite would have to be Jigen, followed by Goemon. Jigen's all around awesome, but I just love Goemon's hilarious ability to slice things. I mean, he sliced a lightning bolt in half, come on.

I think I saw that clip once. Then I went "WTF?!?!?" and rewound it and watched it again to confirm that, yes, he did just jump off of the top of the Empire State Building and cut a lightning bolt in half. I have GOT to track down some LT3 anime.

it was in one of the first specials I watched, forget which one though. I mean I knew Goemon was an awesome swordsman, but I was amazed how each special I watched he cut more and more extreme things, from tanks to helicopters to missiles. When he cut the lightning I pretty much gave up trying to find out what his limit was.

It's all about the Zantetsu. It's made of an unearthly metal that we mortals cannot conceive!

even so, I don't think I'd be able to deflect automatic bullet fire with a sword like that
Goemon: part samurai, part sword: all awesome.
