Hanasaku Iroha, my personally second-most anticipated show of the season. It's an original animation by P.A. Works (which is enough reason to watch it) with character designs by Mel Kishida. It looks absolutely gorgeous and the first episode most definitely does not disappoint.
Matsumae Ohana, a 16 year old girl, moves out of Tokyo and starts working at a hot spring hotel, which is located on a hill surrounded by cherry blossoms. Matsumae has yet to decide her future. The story will also feature other teenage girls who are looking for their dreams and excitements.
^ Don't let that summary fool you, this is an amazing show and everyone should watch it \o/

Ep 2: I thought the guest/author was just faking the missing-his-draft-thing. I really thought he was actually on a writer's blank by the looks of his trash and lucked out when Ohana cleaned his room thereby giving him an excuse. hehe. Wow. Did not see the "x-rated" stuff coming. I like Minko.
Nako, not much but it's too early to tell. I'm not too fond of the anime chara archetype that she belongs to.
