Post here the weirdest anime/manga concepts you know.
Here are two:
manga bible
Adolf (three guesses about the name of one of the characters)
There was also a manga version of Mein Kampf which sold about 45000 copies.

Oh come on, examples like that are easy. And really the most bizarre thing about the Adolf one is that it was made by Osamu Tezuka.
I was hoping for something more like FLCL or Panty and Stocking. Or if we're going into the more "begging to be made fun of" stuff there's probably a ton of (mainly 90s) OVAs and crap to go through.
Like Musashi Gandou! (And yes, I am ignoring concepts, most ideas for anime are weird as hell if you think about it)
Edit: Oh wait I forgot!
Ultimate Teacher (I actually kinda want to watch the entire thing)

I suppose it wasn't that weird, but the manga After School Nightware was pretty strange. For starters, the protagonist's top half was male and bottom half was female...

Not necessarily weird... it's more like strange....
Tsubasa Chronicles.
Now don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, but the thing is... that none of it made sense.

it made more sense than expected but it was still overdone mindscrew (the twists in the last volume should have been legendary instead of just not making me regret reading it to the end)

Kuuchuu Buranko / Trapeze has the kitsch art style. It's a good TV anime though, i recommend it.

Jigoku Teacher Nube, Great Teacher Onizuka, Mega Tokyo (f you count it as a manga series), Toriko, Neon Genesis Evangelion during certain parts of the plot, Trigun, and Black Jack during numerous times in the manga and anime series (I love works done by Osamu Tezuka but they tend to be very much on the weird side).
