Fun fact: I automatically assume almost every manga/anime mentioned in this topic that I haven't ever paid attention to is generic harem and(/or?) ecchi.

This is because at least half of the anime I know that I don't pay attention to are generic harem and(/or?) ecchi.

I don't think you would ever say you were a fan of something generic.

Even if it is generic cause you would probably enjoy it enough that you wouldn't consider it generic. Or something.

I would call it generic since they're all the same with different characters and storyline. Though what happens in it is the same. Some are still enjoyable to watch so I don't really care if it's generic or not.

I'd rather talk about action-packed shonen here, though.
