Attack on Titan is quite good, even if some things aren't working for me (around halfway through it).

SAO is good in the same way that fanfic you wrote when you were 15 and trying to impress your hopefully future girlfriend with your nerd habits was good. Until halfway through the first season, I actually mean that in a good way (though I had different issues than most with that second arc...)

SAO II is quite good. First SAO and ALO were average, but still more or less watchable. SAO II so far is quite interesting,

I myself would recommend Hamatora and Re: Hamatora.

Mushishi I guess is good enough, I've been enjoying it the most.

Can anybody recommend an anime original (meaning they weren't based off something, like a manga or light novel) that's complete and has a decent ending? I swear almost all of the manga based anime I've been watching has been leaving me disappointed and I need something to balance all that negative energy out.

I'd avoid Shoujo but I'm not erasing the possibility of watching it someday. :)

If You ever will need yet another portion of that negative energy, watch "Please Save My Earth". It's quite short, but how it ended...

- KYAA!
- Yes, That's what everyone say when they first meet him.

Barakamon. A good slice of life anime with plenty of heartwarming moments and also a lot of laughs. Mandom..

Original with decent ending? Kyoukai no Kanata!

EDIT: It is based on a light novel, indeed, but the LN is published by Kyoto Animation, so it's kind of an original :)

EDIT 2: Actually, Zankyou no Terror is an amazing original anime. That's definitely one you shouldn't miss.

EDIT 3: I just realized your post is from September 2014. Now that's late ;D
Still, I see none of those two on you anime list, so you might as well watch them :)

Both of those have been recommended to me before. Looks like I really need to watch it. Thanks for the suggestion! :D

I have two requests.

Could anyone recommend another detective/mystery anime?
Could anyone recommend any anime that doesn't have any crazy stuff like special powers, etc.? I mean no stuff like Naruto and the like. I'd like to watch some anime that is closer to an actual drama series... but as an anime. Does anyone know any cool anime like that?

- Umineko no Naku Koro ni (suspense)
- Clannad: After Story (slice of life, first season is trash though)
- Kaiji (gambling)

- One Outs (sports)
- Hajime no Ippo (sports)
- Neon Genesis Evangelion (mecha)
- Full Metal Panic: second raid (mecha)

- Lupin the Third 2015 (episodic)
- Lupin the Third: Jigen's Gravestone (movie)
- The Castle of Cagliostro (movie)

Low tier mystery series that weren't that bad:
Sakurako-san no ashimoto wa shitai ga umatteiru
Ace Attorney
Gosick

Gosick is definitely amazing, and definitely not low tier. But I guess Gosick isn't amazing for the mystery.

I would recommend watching Ghost Stories from ~2000, but not the Japanese one, but an English dub. The original anime is pretty boring, and seems the English studio that dubbed it thoght that too. So they changed the dialogues, and made the anime R18++ instead. Almost every single sentence the characters say is this way or another pretty funny.

at the same time? I might get lost with what's going on watching four anime at the exact same time. (especially if subbed)
