Were you talking about the NG.Eva - The End of Eva ? Yup, you're free to say the ending was terrible..

Btw, you might want to read the Evangelion Re-Take & Re-Take After, the story took place AFTER Shinji choked Asuka neck in the end of Eva final scene..

I should say, this series clears a lot of thing and give us some clear conclusion
