I don't like 4kids dubs they edit and change the names of everything, not to mention bad actors and horrible script rewrites. Imagine if they got case closed since their is a murder every episode, and we all know 4kids hates dead bodies.

To be fair, the rewrite part was few and far between.  In fact, I can only think of one rewrite off the top of my head that actually changed anything of importance.  But that was an AO, so really... how important can it be?

Better than lollipop cigarettes and super soaker green guns.  Oh, or invisible guns.

Speaking of invisible guns the plot sounds extremely similar to that of Yu-Gi-Oh!

I honestly like 4kids believe it or not. Their earlier dubs were pretty great (or at least great despite the editing in the case of Yugioh) and their more recent dubs are typically fun in a "so bad they're good" (mainly Yugioh 5Ds) sort of way or at least seem to actually be anime for their intended audience.

I wonder what would happen if they got that Yu-Gi-Oh season that was only released in japan, and happend before they used the duel monster cards.

Most anime tends to get altered for western audiences. I mean, even Pokemon got dumbed down, with the infamous "bikini contest" episode never being shown overseas, and one being blocked for having guns in it. One even got dumped because Brock had a cold and it was mistaken for SARS in America (WTF?) Either kids are more mature in Japan, or anime isn't only pitches to kids in Japan but they're all it gets pitched to in America and Europe.
