hype this shit, I got stuck with Commander Rester...is he even applicable to be in a DN character personality test? That fool appears for like, 2 seconds.

My comments:
If I had taken the test more seriously the results may still vary. The problem is that there are choices that could have gone either way but I saw the pattern and for the sake of consistency I didn't bother to comtemplate deeply. But I have to agree to the resuts to some extent (that I have some similarities with Mikami Teru)... Of all the DN characters, I can relate to him the most...

It's all part of the horoscope conundrum, really. If you think about it, there are only two factors into each line of a personality test--the kicker being they're all positive traits. No one is going to debate whether they're creative, funny, intelligent, or contemplative, but if personality tests were to delve so deep as to evaluate one's less desirable traits, I'm sure we'd see a lot more peeps questioning their results. Even when they do attempt to throw in "negative" traits, they're really positive in essence (such as, you're "too caring for your own good," etc).

I guess Randi summed it up best here. How seriously people take things depend on how invested they are, naturally. So while taking a Death Note-themed personality test may not make people think twice, if someone were to believe in tripe like astrology, they would be willing to accept everything at face value simply because they expect it to be true (whether that's from predisposition to their environment or otherwise).
