Before I knew it was an anime: Pokemon, though I remember seeing bits of Yu Gi Oh. I think those must be like the only anime shown in the UK, at least that I know of.
After I knew: Detective Conan (subbed, not dubbed), weirdly enough I got into it because it had some really good fanfiction instead of reading the series and then the fanfics :-X

Same here. But you know that Kodansha is releasing a new version with Japanese character names (thank god) and actually reads from right-to-left like a regular manga.

In addition to Sailor Moon, I also watched Detective Conan, Doraemon, and Crayon Shin-chan. It was actually my dad who introduced Conan to me. :)

Oh boy. I would always watch any cartoon show I could find so these are shows I watched before I knew they were animes: Pokemon, Digimon, Sailor Moon, Naruto, Yugioh, Bobobobobo, I did come across Detective Conan but once I immediately saw that body (I was 6) and blood all over the floor and some kid sitting there examing it; I just went BOOP and turned off the TV feeling a bit scared xD, Neon Gensis  Evanglaon? (I'm sorry I have no idea how to spell it), Inuyasha and I think I saw a little of Shin-chan. Man, i used to watch so many animes not knowing they were animes.

The show that helped me figure out what Anime is was probably One Piece. It was the very first show I actually began watching fully on the internet.

First anime was probably Pokemon. Around that time I also watched Dragonball Z and Digimon. All of these were American dubbed though. And I didn't actually know these were considered Anime. The first Anime I watched (learning about what Anime was) was Naruto (subbed in English). After Naruto, I watched Detective Conan on Funimation (iirc, or I saw it somewhere in English dubbed...) and searched for the DC subbed versions online.

First ever: Sailor Moon. I was such a hardcore fan (I was prolly five or six yo) and I usually said I wanted to be like Sailor Moon when I grow up.

I believe many are still. xD So many in my school know DBZ and Naruto they kinda stereotype that every single anime picture I'm drawing is Naruto... <:3

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Pokemon and YuGiOh. My brother collected the cards from YuGiOh and we would play from time to time.
