I know there's a favorite anime thread but I want to know what anime ranks more than the other series and out of curiousity, I would like to find out if DC would land a spot lower than 1. This could also help me find other anime series to watch and consider watching those series currently under my evaluation....

Here's my list; (You may include the genre for reference purposes)

(1) Detective Conan (Mystery)
(2) Death Note (Psychological + Mystery)
(3) Detective Academy Q (Mystery)
(4) Golden Boy (Comedy + Ecchi)
(5) Green Green (Comedy + Ecchi + Romance)
(6) Ouran High School Host Club (Comedy + Romance)
(7) The Prince of Tennis (Sports)
(8) Hunter X Hunter  + GI OVA (Action + Adventure)
(9) Welcome to the NHK (Psychological + Slice of Life)
(10) Code Geass + R2 (Psychological + Action + Mecha)

well since i didn't watch so many animes i don't have 10 top animes/mangas

Yeah, this is off the top of my head. If I sat down and really thought it out, it would surely be different.

2. Haruhi (sci-fi/school/parody anime with philosphical references that DOESN'T take itself super seriously)
3. One Piece (king of action shonen)
4. Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo (king of randomness)
5. Spirited Away
6. School Rumble (school comedy)
7. Reborn! (shonen/action/comedy)
8. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (dark satire)
9. Black Cat (action shonen...except the main character uses a gun)
10. tie between first FMA anime (philosophy action shonen), Excel Saga (random/parody), Lucky Star, Hunter X Hunter (action shonen), the first 3 seasons of Naruto, Dragonball before Z, Yu Yu Hakusho ignoring that stupid tournament, Slayers Next, 20th Century Boys, FLCL etc.

I'm pretty sure it's just one list for both manga and anime for this. Basically, what is your favorite 10 out of BOTH of your lists of top 10 favorite anime and top 10 favorite manga.

Brotherhood is probably better than the first series so that will make my list less silly.

It's good to know that my favorites are also the favorites of other people... Golden Boy and Welcome to the NHK, I think isn't very well known in our country... I just saw someone's list with Spirited Away and I remembered I've been meaning to watch this series... The next time I'll be posting my favorite series, it would be a Top15 to include those series that got thrown out by the newer ones I've watched and liked...

I believe Spirited Away is a movie, not a series.
