That one can be blamed on the Gonzo.  As "Season 2" of the manga was just starting to publish when Capu2 aired.  I do have to agreed that it really screwed with the story(especially Tsukune's transformation).   Makes me wish that they would just reboot the anime and give it a darker tone like the manga.
I didn't know that since I dropped it in the middle of Season 1.

I hate when this type of thing happen, I never read the manga because of the anime, and now I regret my decision for not reading it earlier, since the manga is freaking awesome.

GANTZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!

I just found out that they just made a "make-believe" sort of ending to the anime in a form of a filler ending. At first (without digging any further details), it was just like the feeling after I watched Spiral's ending. I think this is one of the series that says, if you want more details then go read the manga.

You may laugh but the manga of YuGiOh isn't as bad as it sounds. I haven't watched the anime thought, so I can't compare.
Rozen maiden was pretty much butchered up.
One that wasn't made into anime but into a movie with actors and was very disappointing was "Uzumaki" I loved the manga but the film was.... hrgh

Agreed. I haven't watched the Japanese anime, so I don't know how good it really is, since I've only seen the 4kids version. I love the manga, though.

Sorry for reviving this, but I'm bored... hahahaha

Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler- It just goes downhill after episode 9ish and season 2 was not even REMOTELY close to what happened in the manga. and those new characters don't even EXIST in the manga (yes I'm looking at you Alois and Claude)
Fruit's Basket- Reasons are already pretty much already said.
xxxHOLIC- O.M.G. For those who have read the manga for Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, you'd know that Holic crosses over with the Tsubasa world and that Watanuki and Yoko in Holic play a MAJOR role in the Tsubasa universe, and the anime for Holic completely edits out the crossovers to the Tsubasa universe.
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles- Fillers/AO galore. YUCK.
The first FMA anime- Reasons already said. I still enjoyed it, but not when comparing it to Brotherhood or the manga.

Yeah, up to the point of Catastrophe (volume 30) from there it gets worse and worse.

Get Backers also got an awful adaptation. Clearly made for the female audience.

Gakuen Alice. It closely followed the manga up to the Chapter 28 (the School Festival arc.) After that, it all went downhill and it didn't even reach the manga's end. Still hoping they revive this since Tachibana finished this only recently.

/should I be worried that I'm reviving this thread?

Pupa.

Didn't read the manga, but only Crayon Shin-chan is even more worst anime than Pupa anime.

I'd like to add Blue Exorcist. It is the most rushed train-wreck in the last few episodes.

I agree as well, I was so hyped after I watched the first two episodes. Then I could barely make it through the second half :X
