Did you hate Toradora too?  After all, Taiga was clearly not the best girl, yet it was obvious she'd "win".  Just like in Sakurasou, she's part of the title.  The MC is actually a realistic teenager, and yeah, it's realistic to not insta-win just because you're the MC.

I really liked Toradora, I thought overall it was just a better package than Sakurasou.  Sakurasou felt too much forced drama for me, and I didn't dislike Taiga, but clearly Ami was best girl in that series.  I thought it was a more refreshing take on the HS rom com series, with the two helping each other out for their other romantic interests. 

Sakurasou is more of a wacky comedic series, and I thought it was pretty cheesy with Nyapollon/ batcrazy dorm.  I tend to not like my comedy series mixed with melodrama romance.

Just my opinion, and I really disliked the MC of Sakurasou a lot more than Toradora's.

I am a bit hesistant on watching romance shows, just because the radiation is clearly affecting some of the 11's tastes (when I was in Japan, I was talking to a Hokkaido native, who said her fave girl from Clannad was Fuuko.  Absolutely disgusting).

But, then, when your best girl does win, its amazing.  True Tears yo.  Drinking Noe fan tears all day.  Also Bakemonogatari, with Senjougahara.

watched Psycho-Pass, which was awesome but not quite as supremely awesome as people lead me to believe.

[spoiler]the whole "Sybil is actually made of those psycho-pass resistant people" reveal was evident way too early on, so it made that climax pretty subpar, and even though I liked all the characters I didn't have much of a connection with them aside from Akane's one friend gettin killed, which was sad [/spoiler]
