Nah, I still think we're getting the Disappearance arc that I've heard talked about so much. This is just continuing "The Trolling of Haruhi Suzumiya".

Although, if the next one isn't the last one than this is stupid. V is enough. And yes, the story works much better this way, although it's arguable that they should have gotten rid of III or IV. Most likely IV since III had Koizumi repeating the endless recursion of time line that was amazing.

also take it back that movie was AWESOME  >:(

The movie was painful.  And it's likely going to go to Endless Eight VI before it ends, based on rumored interviews.  If we get Disappearance, it'd either end up half assed, or Sigh will be cut short to about 3 episodes.  However, most people seem to be saying that Sigh would've likely taken 4-5 episodes previously.  So the question is whether they expand it out to 6-7, shrink it to 3, or half ass everything from here on out.

Btw, going to say it now:  series needs more Tsuruya.

I am far behind on haruhi watching (aka non main story episodes not watched of season 1 except that bad movie) and I just finished episode 2 of season 2, how did they not figure out season 2 would not work before it aired and also I heard season 3/ new haruhi series will start with the last one disappearance and I thought that sighs was book 2 so why did they show endless eight first, I know the show hates chronological order but come on

this goes without saying

"rumored interviews" sounds retarded regardless of what you meant. If Sigh is only 3 episodes...well...um... this is probably a terrible comparison but the Conan anime did pretty good with 4 chapter cases so who knows what that would be like! It doesn't matter though, this is still the greatest trolling ever and I am laughing my ass off at it.

also tantei okuoku needs to see Remote Island Syndrome asap

They are doing it in Chronological order with the time frame and not in chronological order with the novel  :)

this should be the newest internet meme

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqE-5W_dLU0

according to wikipedia the newest Haruhi episode

"The previous time loop continues for the 15,521st time. As the last day of vacation arrives, Kyon once again goes to bed once again without finishing his summer homework. "

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

now all they need to do is say that all of the Endless Eights counted as one of the fourteen new episodes and I will die from laughter

if it did count as 1 out of the 14 new eps I would be happy that would be the only way this series could turn around for me....... ffs I really wanted to see Disappearance damnit no point to watch last weeks or this weeks eps........ Haruhi is not my fav series of all time anymore grrrrr

Mrr, I wanna see Disappearance too. My husband thinks maybe they're doing this so we'll agree/sympathise with Nagato for the Disappearance arc. He also says "Sighs" could probably be done pretty well in 1-2 episodes.
But, yeah. Enough with the time loop already. It's getting annoying/frustrating. I mean more than it's supposed to be.
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.

The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

The internet is gonna be awesome as soon as the episode is subbed.

"WAHHHH I WANT NEW EPISODES. OTHERWISE I'LL NEVER WATCH THIS SHOW THAT I NEVER PAY ANY MONEY FOR AGAIN!" Not to mention how many jokes I can make about how more new, interesting stuff has happened in the past 3 episodes than what happens in 3 episodes in most anime arcs. =PPPPPPPPPP

just so you guys know, we'll still have 7 eps left. 5 for Disappearance and 2 for Sigh sound about right.
Out of curiosity, anyone have a decent guess (no spoilers at all plz) of how many episodes there would/could be considering the remaining stuff from the novels left?

well hard to say really most ep lists that were out would of covered all of books 1 though 6 while 7 (Intrigues) is a single story but is decently connected to 8-9 which is a full story arc unfinished right now and book 10 has been delayed for 2 years.

Ep List behind spoiler (not really that much of a spoiler just chapter titles)
Spoiler:
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 1

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 3

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 4

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 5

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 6

The Boredom of Haruhi Suzumiya

Bamboo Rhapsody (NEW)

Mystérique Sign

Remote Island Syndrome (Part 1)

Remote Island Syndrome (Part 2)

Endless Eight (NEW)

The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya 1 (NEW)

The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya 2 (NEW)

The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya 3 (NEW)

The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina Episode 00

Live Alive

The Day of Sagittarius

Someday in the Rain

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Part 1 (NEW)

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Part 2 (NEW)

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Part 3 (NEW)

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Part 4 (NEW)

Charmed at First Sight Lover (NEW)

Snowy Mountain Syndrome Part 1 (NEW)

Snowy Mountain Syndrome Part 2 (NEW)

Where did the Cat Go? (NEW)

Another Day of the Disappearance (NEW)
the ones in bold are ones I am pretty sure we will not get to thanks to endless eight  :'( (and of course Snowy Mountain and Disappearance are the best stories)

I supose they could fit Disappearance though Intrigues in a 3rd series but.... the way they are killing time in the second series is going to turn away all fans. I would love to see the ratings for Eight to see how much its declined.

then how the f*ck do you explain (insert shonen anime with filler here) popularity?

Hell, One Piece was fine after 5 stupid recap episodes half way through Enies Lobby.

Yes, this is different. Endless Eight, hilarious fanboy whining aside, has actually not been terrible, unlike most filler. Regardless of what blog posts with 2 comments tell you.  :)

well filler done well is where you want to see it nearly as much as you want to see the main story arc and not the "end it already" attitude thats with this series.  The only series that comes to mind that does this pretty well (IMO) is Conan :D and the Negima Manga.  and most small series (13 eps or so) get to skip all the filler and stick straight to the main story which is what haruhi S1 had done and earned alot of praise for doing it.

that and most of all we will have to wait another 2-3 years to see the stuff I was counting on seeing, thats what pisses me off the most.

not necesarily. I could see a couple of OVAs coming out in the next year ala Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Especially since a vast majority of people actually involved in creating the series seem to agree that it was a stupid idea.

the clock thing was pretty damn cool if you ask me

ok i might have thought of something brilliant

All of the nerds and fatties will look up and shout "please save us"

And Kadokawa'll look down and whisper "no".

I don't know that much about Watchmen outside of this quote but this seems to work pretty well.
