I'm a liar, Slayers is awesome and not that short. lol, Disney XD

A way to piss off people who think FMA is the be all, end all of anime.

I do like it quite a bit but still from what I've seen so far, it just seems like they basically took some of my favorite shonen and made it more dramatic but it seems like it's trying too hard, which I rarely like. (hell, I hate many other more dramatic anime that try too hard, specifically Evangelion and it's terrible excuse for an ending that felt like they couldn't actually think of an ending so instead got a bunch of drugs and philosophy, put it in a blender, and made THAT the ending).

Yeah, I just started watching FMA because a lot of my friends worship it and told me to watch it.  Being the typical anti-anime watcher (other than a select few), it took them a good 5 months to make me start the show.

I have to say, it's pretty good, but it does have its flaws.  One, I don't seem to get attached to the characters...there's not one clear cut favorite so far.  Also, I think it tries to go for comedic relief at the wrong times: Yeah I know edward elric is short. haha.  He has a girly voiced younger brother robot. cool.

But it definetely has its gems...that whole flashback story arc when the state alchemist took his own daughter's life by making her into a chimera, that was pretty sad and emotional.  Talk about Catharsis within 6 episodes in.
