Then the only way I can recommend R;N to you is if you are a mecha fan. It's been slow for now but I'm enjoying it.

Probably worded it wrong. I meant that Steins;Gate was so good that I don't want to expect it to be on the same level if it actually really isn't.

So far, not very good.  I haven't watched episode 3 yet, but so far it's just really two characters whose schticks are already old.  One is hyper energetic and the other refuses to do anything unless you can beat him in a video game.  I think the latter is actually a more detestable character archtype than super dense idiots like Ichika.

That said, I've read some spoilers so I know it gets better.  Check back at the start of the next season to see if the anime's gotten better.

I enjoy the chemistry between the two main characters. Each on his own.

I agree with GinRei. It tries to rely on the character interaction to keep things interesting, but the characters are less than stellar and even the VAs sound bored.

I like Robotics;Notes thus far. o_O; Sure it's not fast paced, but the character interactions are interesting and there has been a bit of plot foreshadowing.
