Two things that are similar between Pokemon and DC: people don't age. Plot stuff don't get solved (GS ball/Haibara's mother's tape)

Except DC can theoretically happen in a year if you remove specific dates and references to seasons.  Maybe some of the filler too.

Pokemon specifically has to be a year for each saga, because that's the canon timeframe between each Pokemon League.  That means Ash would have to be at least 14 by now.

Furthermore, the GS ball is gone forever.  Haibara's Mother's Tapes are just a Chekhov Gun.

I don't think it is true that it is exactly a year between them. After all, they are in different regions and to have them all on the same day seems like bad planning.

But then again, the contests is suggesting that a lot of time is flowing. There are always the same judges, in all the regions. And all contestants need five ribbons and in the grand contest there are a lot of competitors. Meaning a lot of contests was made and since it is the same judges...

Collect all the leader's phone numbers, do events like the Arceus Event and the Orb events to get rare Pokemon, train like crap to get your main team up to level 100, finish your Pokedex... and then sort your Pokemon boxes neatly so you can find all the rare Pokemon that you'll eventually offload onto Black or White XDXDXD

(There's still the Celebi Event, which probably counts as plot inasmuch as it pertains to your defeat of Neo Team Rocket, but unfortunately Nintendo has not yet deigned to tell us when this'll happen.)

Hmmm... I already did the Arceus Event and the Orb Events.

So, new rumor from B/W that sounds pretty real.  The water starter's evolution is some sort of cross between Sea Otter and Sea Lion, and uses his shell like a katana.

I actually thought it was kind of fun. But I do like the slots from the first generation better.

Yeah, I liked being able to buy coins, too. :-\

Fun fact: my Lapras in HeartGold knows thunderbolt, and it's the reason I was able to beat Lance. :P

Yeeeaaaah, but Jolteon isn't really the best electric-type out there, either. So I'd say find another electric-type if you need a good move quickly.

(And now that I'm thinking about it, I lied. Lapras actually knows Thunder, not Thunderbolt. I taught it Thunder along with Rain Dance. :P)
