The official Japanese site for Best Wishes has just updated with the new look for Team Rocket. This puts them more in-line with the Rocket Grunts within the games wearing black costumes. In Best Wishes, Jessie & James are classed as Team Rocket's Advanced Troops and are the frontline for Team Rocket in Isshu for Giovanni to help Isshu fall to Team Rocket. Thanks to Sabonea Masukippa for the translation
Does this mean they're not joke characters anymore what? :U

no way. There's a better chance they'll change the status quo for Lupin III than Pokemon.

Meh. The reason why they changed from white to gray is that Team Plasma is white... I think. Or maybe it's one of the large-scale Pokemon makeover, with Ash getting brown eyes, etc. I doubt the trio'll change personalities though. They might change their intro theme though, but I could care less

I hope they don't try and make Team Rocket *shudder* SERIOUS VILLAINS. I mean it. For one thing, no matter how badly you fail at life, it's comforting to know that you'll never fail as bad as they do. For another, it's just hard to think of the three of them as genuinely evil, y'know? Also, hope they don't change the theme. THEY WILL DELETE MY CHILDHOOD IF THEY CHANGE THE THEME.

What I really want is Misty back. She's always been my favourite character, aside from Gary, whom I also think we need more of. Also, i'm a pokeshipper. Moar Ash x Misty moments plz.

Rewatched those episodes recently and was like "wow, they're kind of... genuinely menacing..." which was interesting all, but it kind of gives the show a disturbing edge, setting these preteen kids up against real criminals. It's more comfortable when they're up against the masters of epic fail.

Yeah, but if they were such Fails, why was there a poster of them in the second episode? I kinda liked them when they were badass. I would have also preferred if they had caught pokemons, and most of all, I might have continued to watch the series after Johto if not for the fact that they FREAKING RELEASED WEEZING AND ARBOK! It made it even worse that they gave to Jesse Arbok's Hoenn version. If they wanted her to keep having a snake, they could have left her with Arbok.

WAIT WAT. No, they didn't. Tell me they didn't. They might as well lose Meowth if they did that.

Competitive, for run-through, or for the lolz?  For the second two, you can keep Lapras.  For the first one, switch.
