I don't even know if I would recommend you watch it or not tbh. The show is definitely sweet, but it never got its final season so you'll be all kinds of angry at where it leaves off.

FMA is Fullmetal Alchemist. It's pretty decent, but Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is utterly sublime.

Watched a few episodes of Hetalia, just to finally see what the hell it's all about.

...I don't get it. If the guys were good-looking, I'd put it down as an unfunny ridiculous fanservice show.

A bizarre mix of high-brow historical humor and low-brow blatant stereotyping.

seriously, if that doesn't interest you, you will likely get nothing out of this series

They are kind of overrated, but the movies are still pretty damn good, top notch.

What irks me about all Ghibli films, is that it has an amazing introduction to the world with outstanding visuals, but it allwwwwaaays has a lackluster ending.  Spirited Away, Howls' moving Castle...etc.

Laputa is my favorite Ghibli movie. Idk why, their adventure was really entertaining.

I dunno... I didn't find most of the historical humour to be high-brow or funny. I found some of it in poor taste, actually.

And, as ever, I'm extremely irritated by the presence of "England". Because they're either saying that no Scottish, Welsh or Irish regiments fought in WWII (My grandad would certainly beg to differ) or that UK=England. Either way, I am living in an Uncountry once again. I just utterly hate it when fiction does this.

And love Humon forever for the strip where Ireland and Scotland yell at England for wearing the Union Flag because he doesn't speak for them. (Slightly off in that Ireland there was wearing the Republic flag, so not being part of the UK England really DOESN'T speak for them, but then again it would give Ireland all the more reason to be ignored XD)

Actually... I did not like FMA:BH as an ANIME. The story was great and amazing as a manga, but the anime was just so poorly done. The pacing was a bit too fast, the animation was lazily done in comparison to the original FMA, and merely relied on the strength of the story to carry the series. Granted, the story is *VERY* strong, which is why a lot of people like Brotherhood more than the original. For me though FMA>FMA: Brotherhood. I'll take the manga for the real story. For a well paced, well directed, and overall well done anime.... original FMA please.

Helita was tripe, couldn't get through 2 episodes of it. I could NOT. I don't understand the appeal at all... I'm with mangaluva here... I didn't find any of the humor highbrow, and honestly I've read A LOT on WWII. Seriously, I've written an 80 page report on it IN HIGH SCHOOL. I've read books on both sides of the war (Europe and Asia). And really, I just can't... I think people just assume what is in textbooks is 100% true.

I personally liked the animation style of FMAB more than FMA. FMA looked to me like a series done all in sepia. I agree that FMAB had pacing issues, especially in the early episodes, but a large part of that was that they were deliberately trying to get through the early episodes quickly because they were the same stories covered by FMA. It still could have done with slower pacing, but maybe I just say that because I wanted it to last longer XD

With you all the way on Hetalia. Possibly it's funnier if you know nothing about the history involved so you don't spend the whole time going "what the HELL?!"

Mushishi, Solanin

Both have awards, both are awesome.

As for stuff I haven't see.  I haven't read the Nausicaa:Valley of the Wind manga, I just watched the movie.  Heard the manga is amazing.

I didn't finish Eden of the East either.  Lost interest.

Pretty much every anime series that's not YGO or DC.

As for mangas, I haven't read One Piece, Fate/Zero, and a lot of others (can't remember). I gave up on Naruto, Fairy Tail, and Bleach because they got boring and typical :x
