Just started reading a graphic novel called Maus by Art Spiegelman. It's an interesting biographical piece about the author's father's experiences during WWII, as Jew who ended up in the camps. Half of it shows the father's story, and half shows Spiegelman interviewing his father and trying to deal with the strained relationship between the two of them, depicting the effects of the camps on the old man decades later. It's a powerful but sometimes disturbing graphic novel, which is only made creepier by the fact that Spiegelman draws everyone as animals; Poles as pigs, Americans as dogs, Jews as mice and Germans as cats.

Maus is excellent.  I see it's translation all over the world.  Good read . 

Just finished it. It's truly superb. Next time someone gets on my case for reading "Comic books", I'm giving them this.

In a more lighthearted vein, /a/non has new Pokemon Adventures scanlations up. Normally Pearl annoys me, but how can you not love a boy who charges a load of brainwashed thugs by riding an angry Tauros and leading a zerg rush of Unown? XDXDXD

Agreed. The plot just seems like a jumble of different plots mixed together.
