It doesn't.  It's made by the same company (NitroPlus), who has stated it's in the same "universe", but there's no actual connection between the two series.
ah, gotcha. Is Chaos;Head good, at least (if you've seen it)?

It's not bad.  It has a good premise but it doesn't quite finish that strongly due to either air constraints or time constraints.  I've heard the game is ridiculously good though.

I didn't know where to ask this so I just chose here.

I want to try Hetalia but I was wondering which was better, the anime or the manga?

I've mostly heard you should watch the anime.

I need to watch it soon, it seems pretty awesome. (and I need to watch a comedy anime that isn't just anime parodies)

The anime? Is it different from the manga, for those that have both watched and read it.

BTW, I have no idea what  :-X means.

Any other Sports Anime series out there not named:
(preferably Seinen cause I just finished One Outs and currently half-way through Giant Killing)

Basketball: Slam Dunk, Dear Boys, Buzzer Beater
Soccer: Giant Killing, Wild Striker Hungry Heart, Capt. Tsubasa
Baseball: One Outs, Major
Tennis: Prince of Tennis
American Football: Eyeshield21
Boxing: Hajime no Ippo + New Challenger
If you think you are cooler than me then prove it, B*TCH!

If it's Soccer, you should definitely read Area no Kishi.

Sekirei anime= usual harem/ecchi crap
Sekirei manga= better than the anime, fun read but still not really good.

Regarding Hetalia, I've seen both the manga and the anime. Personally I like the anime as it's a bit easier to get the jokes (note: only a bit because the layout of the manga is a bit messy so it's hard to know what's going on)

Anyway, this may just be me, but for Hetalia I'd say the dub would be a better choice because (discarding opinions for the point) it's slightly easier to keep up with. There's A LOT of people speaking at once, so believe me: having it in your language will make things easier. However, if you don't mind reading A LOT (as in, you will pretty much HAVE to pause) go for sub. I'm pretty sure Funi has both available in small clips on their channel on YouTube if you want samples

I remember I watched the first episode of Hetalia in the English dub a while ago and had almost no clue what was going on due to the accents... XP

<3 Hetalia. And the accents sometimes make the jokes even funnier
Love your enemies, because your friends may turn out to be a bunch of assholes
