Normally I'd agree, except that there's a Sasaki figure.  However, I doubt she'd appear before the fourth season anyway, so who knows.

at this point I think outside of OVAs for Snowy Mountain Syndrome and whatever other shorter stories are left, I just want more movies for all eternity.

EDIT: another conspiracy theory/ rumor regarding new Haruhi content.

haruhi.tv (the official haruhi website) has been down recently (a blank page).  A couple days before, there was an interesting image on it.  Take note that apparently the last time something like this happened was in 2008, as kind of a tease/troll for season 2.  Actually, the haruhi.tv website is down a lot, and every single time it means something.

People have been saying that this is kind of a celebration for Disappearance, as the dates in the movie correspond to the current date.

Also...I don't have to spill it out to you that this is good news. Kyoto Anime don't f around when they 404 their own site.  It has to mean something.

Here's a link depicting a timeline of haruhi news and their clever ways of teasing new material.  Pretty interesting...

Now back to your normally scheduled Ranger.

Don't say that D:, honestly I would rather want seasons instead of movies, despite the movie being like the greatest masterpiece in anime ever, and the second season being rather flat...

Kind of a stupid reason, but I like new openings, closings, and just the episodic format.  My ideal wish is for them to continue the 1 season + movie order.

And, to lighten the mood, I really like this soundtrack from the movie.

Recently, I've been in a crazy Haruhi obsessed mood...I don't even know why.  Maybe its because of the recent rumors of season 3.  But..I would love if it comes next year.  Aya Hirano's tweet about her working on something her fans would love still hasn't been denied..there is hope!

I imagine this is what they'll do.  The movie made mad money, but the stories aren't made in such a way that they can all be done in movie format.  They'll need to do a season of lead-in beforehand, or at least a handful of OVAs.  And if you do a handful of OVAs... why not just do the season and get advertising money?

By the way, for anyone wanting to buy the series:  Buy.com is having a Bandai sale.  Season 1 for $16, Season 2 for $31, and the BD/DVD Combo of the movie for $16.  They also have part 1 of the Haruhi-chan series for $8.50.  Free shipping (make sure to select it, it defaults to another shipping method).  I picked up all but season 1, since I got the limited editions of those from rightstuf a few years ago.

I'm just worried they'll end up rushing through certain stories. I mean, I don't think there's any more shorter stories after the 3 (4?) I've mentioned so I'm worried they'd go through books 7 and 8 and those stories in only 14 episodes unless we get more canon filler or something.

I feel that thread revival in the anime/manga section is totally okay, especially if we are going to have respective threads for a series.

Enjoy it!  What season are you on?  who's your fave char?

I like them about equally. But if I had to choose one, I'd say Kyon because he is the protagonist in this series, where as the other 4 main characters aren't. The main 5 characters are just impossibly awesome, but since Kyon is on screen the most...yeah. Which is odd as being the protagonist or even a main character is pratically a negative in most series (looking at you Naruto).

1) Kyonko
2) Tsuruya

What?  You don't like my favorite character in the series being a fan-made genderbending of the main character?  Tough.

Astute observation (though I don't recall Kyonko being a fang-tan, and can't recall what other characters I may have mentioned before other than Kyoko in Madoka).  Their archetypical personality is enjoyable to me.

Kyon as a girl reminds me of Haruhi, and Haruhi as a boy reminds me of Kyon xD

Personality wise they are exactly the same though... the only gender bender chars I like is Kyonko, with maybe Koizumi's genderbender character also.

I think you might of mentioned some other character w/ fang teeth but I can't remember.  To each their own I guess (prefers HomuHomu)
