I'm not surprised about the dub since even I could make a decent dub if I had Steven Blum and Crispin Freeman.

Durarara is a light novel, that was made into an anime and manga. The light novel currently has 8 volumes, the anime (so far) has ended with 24 episodes with their first season that only covered 3 volumes of the books. The manga is FUBAR at least for english readers because the translators dropped it.

It's a pretty legit series.
Actually, about a day or 2 ago, mangafox updated with the 13th chapter....

I just think it went with the pink 'motif'. After all, Valentines Day is coming up. I actually find both the two of them and Seiji's sister creepy all together.

I don't know why, but even after Izaya has lied to a little girl (Akane, who is adorable and I feel absolutely sad for her.) I still seem to like him. Also, Kururi and Mairu ftw.

Really? sweet, I'll check it out sometime. And yuck Mikado, I agree with ArielRachel - out of the three high schoolers my favorite is Kida as well.

But no one beats Izaya and Celty and Shinra !

Yeah, Kida is awesome. I love Mamoru Miyano's voice for him. xD (It's actually quite weird- considering how he plays Dento in Pokemon BW and Tamaki in Ouran. xDD)

Am I the only one who thinks Celty should have never started talking? The texting without a voice thing really worked for her character but now she just seems so much less mysterious.

but it makes her less omg moe :V

but yeah, pretty much agree. Though it would make it a bit weird to have her as a main character that way as it'd be hard to show her thoughts just through text.

she pretty much loses her mysterious halfway through the series, which can reflect on the whole supernatural vs human debacle Celty is going through - I don't care either way, however there are still moments where her voice is purposely left out for dramatic effect.

I read chapter 13, thank god the manga was picked up again! Need moar!

Speaking of Izaya, today, while doing my homework in my dad's office on his computer, the chair is a swiveling chair. So, real quietly I swiveled around and was saying 'I love humans! They are so fascinating!' and laughing like Izaya.

^a little bit - but back on topic..

The final dvd volume of DRRR released on wednesday, in Japan, meaning that episode 25 is 'released'. There hasn't been too much information on the interwebz yet, but expect a fansub soon, and an appearance on crunchyroll because they obtained the license.
