wow that sucks lol you should grab someone with a fast net speed without restrictions and toss them a little bit of money for dvd's/shipping and let them download anything you want.

Its what i do atm for my best friend whos stationed in Afghanistan. Their download speed is like .021mbps lol with pings in the thousands sometimes. I sent him like a 640gb HDD filled with like 3k episodes/movies when he deployed and now i sent him new shows/updates to his favorites on DvD's when i send care packages over.

It is my all time favorite anime. The story is amazing, it will make you think, the characters are fantastic, the dub voices outperform the traditional japanese voices(IMO) and match the characters perfectly, the musical score is one of the best of any anime out there, and the art style is gorgeous.

You can watch the series any way you wish, the way i would recommend is to watch the original movie, GITS SAC and 2nd GiG, then the last 2 movies. Watching the series makes it much easier to understand the last 2 movies. The first movie started it all with slightly different art styles so its why i recommend it as your very first.
