It's a tie between Tsuritama and Sakamichi no Apollon for me.

You are awesome. Though Sakamichi is slightly edging out ahead, but I'm biased towards jazz.Soreiyu wrote: It's a tie between Tsuritama and Sakamichi no Apollon for me.

Sakamichi's manga was better than the anime though. MUCH better.

Seen only three, and I'm going for Hyouka. I love the mystery and the coolness/uniqueness of Oreki-sama.

Sakamichi no Apollon..
so many things I dislike about that series. I'll give the OST credit, it's very nice, but there's no way just a soundtrack can justify a series alone. Just DL the OST then.
The plot itself feels very forced over the top drama, I don't think the romance is anything special compared to both shonen and shojou romance series. Pretty generic standard josei/shojou series.
The artstyle is unique, not the biggest fan of it, but, if you take away that Cowboy Bebop legacy from the staff, I'm sure a lot of people would change their opinions regarding the series.

The fact that I enjoyed the manga more than the anime shows that the staff doesn't mean anything, right? It's great because it's great, people recognize the anime for its own strengths, regardless of the staff.
The drama wasn't at all forced, it was quite a bit realistic to be honest. The pacing was a bit off at the end though. But that's the price you pay for condensing 9 volumes of a monthly manga on a 1-cour anime.
My guess here is that, ranger, you don't like shoujo/josei at all. If I were you, I would avoid them from now on. You didn't like Sakamichi no Appolon, there is a huge chance you won't like much of everything else from the genre (Nodame Cantabile, Honey and Clover, Nana, etc). You are definitely not the only one that dislike the genre, each with their own opinion after all

Natsuiro Kiseki wins the worst animation of the season.

I figure an show about idols would guarantee more effort, but turns out I was wrong =PVylash wrote:lol there were some seriously derpy moments in the animation, dunno what the hell sunrise was doing there : Vleokiko wrote: Natsuiro Kiseki wins the worst animation of the season.
Regardless of that, it still was an decent slice-and-life.

It was interesting in the beginning, but around episode 10ish the whole special skill that Kuroko utilizes gets really dry. Plus I felt like it was too over the top for my tasteJConan23 wrote: Kuroko no Basuke is amazing
