I keep hearing about Disappearance, but still don't know what it is.  Guess I'll find out soon though.  Only one more episode worth of material isn't aired that I know the plot of, so the other 12 episodes of new material will all be a shock.

I want to give out spoilers as little as possible so...
Spoiler:
It involves a lot of Nagato, the world, and a very different SOS brigade.

A very critical moment in the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

--EDIT--
Who here misses the first ending theme? Figuring out who gives voice to who is really fun, even though one of them already gives out the answer by acting all cutesy on stage :D

I just watched this anime yesterday (accidentally came across it on the internet), and i'm hooked!!
It's FUNNY and AMUSING (if that's the same, well, I don't care)

May I ask one question?
Which is better, the dub or the sub?

I'll go for the dub. It kept me from falling asleep when Koizumi starts his suuuper long discussions XD. Plus, I find some jokes funnier in the dub. Not that they made any major change with the script. Its just that I know better what emotions they are trying to convey (when the script implies a joke)...hehe.

Many people prefers the sub though. Something must be wrong with me xD.

To be honest, I hate DUBBERS.
But, just to be sure, I'll try them both. Maybe this one's different.

I've never tried the dub of it (probably will later this summer, friend's burning me his copy), but you can't go wrong with Crispin Freeman, and he's Kyon.

Speaking of Kyon:
Spoiler:
Hopefully somewhere in this second season they'll explain exactly why he has that name, other than his sister being the one who got everyone hooked on calling him that.

light spoiler
Spoiler:
basicly "someone" Hyjacks Haruhi's powers and changes her and its up to Kyon to put things back. All elements come into play here time travel, aliens, epsers and the return of "John Smith" and other things that started up in ep 8.

not really to much of a spoiler but using the tag since you did.
Spoiler:
its a nickname started by his aunt and spread to school via his sister. in the novels though his nickname isnt even said till book 3 iirc so its probably a running gag that the author never actually figured out a real name for him. Lampshaded in book 9 though when his real name is hinted at with a girl who has known him since middle school saying "it was a very majestic name that didn't seem to fit him."
EDIT:
considering that Kyon can be translated into "the Cynic" or "the dog" in latin or the Korean translation for the guy in Tanabata myth "Kyonu" the name does fit his role.
also if you must see the dub there is a dual audio torrent up at boxtorrents of S1.  I much prefer the sub though I just can not see anyone but Aya as Haruhi, Konata or Kaoru her voice sticks in my mind.
