Based on the current response, Baccano! seems to be worth checking out... I've read some good comments about the series having funny and crazy characters... But Baccano being included on the PLOT category (by kyuu and whitew), that series must be really something...

I've seen most of the series. It is really good but it's missing something for whatever reason. Maybe because it's a 13 episode anime with a lot of major characters. The way the plot is told is pretty unique.

I'm one for slow-paces animes, but I really couldn't pick it back up after watching the first three episodes. I honestly don't know why...

there's an extra 3 episodes which were added in the dvd release which tie some things up nicely imo.

I really liked it though (I got around to watching it 2 or 3 days ago :V), I wouldn't even particularly call it a slow anime, because although there isn't a whole lot of events that happen you see them from a whole bunch of perspectives so you're not draggin along slowly really.

it's also one of the (if not the) best dubs I've heard, so that helped it a bit.

I watched the first three subbed, and the first two dubbed. For whatever reason, I wasn't even remotely interested. It sounds like exactly my type of story, and nonlinear/abnormal progression is something I've enjoyed in other series.

Yeah I checked out one anime site... There was 13 regular episodes and 3 additional OVAs... I really thought it would be longer... Never expected that it was that short...

Oddly enough, the one show I'm looking forward to in the new season is Senkou no Night Raid, which is set in the 1930s.

Ever heard of personal opinion? Besides, fixing something that's right is wrong.
And what's so great about One Piece anyway? It's a good anime but nothing amazing.
And I've never heard of Nodame Cantabile and Tegami Bachi, so I can't judge them.
