Re: Jigoku Shoujo
i remember watching jigoku shoujo for the first time... the premiere was exactly 11:34 in animax... try typing 1134 in a calculator and turn it up-side-down... you'll agree with me about this:
animax knows how to attract watchers...

Re: Jigoku Shoujo
I've never watched this anime, but I am reading its manga as it's being released here in the US. I like it and it never did hit me how this series doesn't have any real romance to it, aside from those who might summon the Hell Girl. Either way, it's an interesting series and I can't help but wonder where it's going or how it'll even end.
That aside, even though I've never seen the anime, I have watched its live-action drama. I really liked that, although, I did have one main gripe. In the manga, usually after the person is taken to hell, you get to see what happens to the actual sender who was wronged.
For example, I think in Volume I of the manga, that story where the girl was being bullied and was tricked into stealing and because of that, her admission to the high school she wanted to go to was taken away. She told them that it was the bully and her friends that put her up to it, etc., but they didn't believe her. At the end, after she sent her bully hell, all the wrongs done by the bully was fixed. The girl was able to go to the school she wanted, the authorities figured out that it was the bully who did everything, etc. When this was adapted into the live-action version, that pretty much wasn't the case; most of the stories for it was done in that way. They get taken to hell, but not much aftermath.
Has anyone else here watched it?

The manga series was actually really good, but it's just so repetitive for me. n_n;

Re: Jigoku Shoujo
the anime is much much better than any other else... the live action didn't include the best thing in the season 1... there's only one episode there which is included in the anime but they even changed some things about it...

Re: Jigoku Shoujo
I recently finished the mnaga, which I believe is equal to the first season of the anime (the manga based off the other 2 seasons hava different names and haven't been published in English yet). I've also watched a few episodes of the anime and the first of the live action.
The main problem with the manga seems to be that it cut out the part about the reporter guy and his daughter (can't remember names =.=), as well as the author made a lot of mistakes for the first few volumes, but by the end it's wrapped up quite nicely and the ending is amazing.

I just recently started this anime and I'm loving every moment of it. I'm only on the first season episode 7 though.
