Any Honey and Clover fans here?

Morita has to be the funniest character in the history of anime, seriously. XDD  
I feel extremely sorry for Takemoto T_T And angry at Morita too..the girl of his dreams loves him but he abandons her for a year.
Is it just me or does Hagu happens to be a really shallow character? The series is supposed to be about young-adult love but Hagu's so childish. I wish she'd talk more.

I'm currently on episode 19 22 of the first season, so no spoilers please. (Morita's HOIIIII was hilarious XD XD)
Finished watching first series!

Also, I noticed some DC references so far [probably unintentional]

- Mayama's colleague's name is Miwako.
- One of the guys from the Hamadayama shopping district [can't remember his name] got married to a girl called Akemi.
- Movie 1's ending, "Happy Birthday", was used as an insert song in season 2
- Yamada Ayumi. Well, obviously. I passed it off at first, since Ayumi is a common name.
- Hachimitsu to KUROBA.
- Hagu's seiyuu is Kudou Haruka.

Okay I'm getting carried away xD

Also, what's your opinion on the first opening? XD XD XD I find that shrimp hand scary.

I also find it sad that there isn't any SUCCESSFUL relationship in the anime. :<

Seriously, I wanna join in the crowd shouting SHI-NO-BU! at the park.  There's also this amusement park concert where he sang some ode to money that was so hilarious.

Go ahead and watch season 2 as well. Definitely not a waste of time unlike many sequels nowadays.

I can't get enough of the ending "Waltz".

yessss huge fan of Honey & Clover here and huge fan of Morita as well! though my favourite character is the poor Takemoto. ;_; well since you haven't finished watching I won't say anymore except that you might not find Hagu so shallow anymore after the end (and if you watch season 2, as well). and i guess since it's meant to be slice of life, yes, not all the relationships will work out for sure (especially since there are so many love triangles here)

and yeah I can't get enough of Waltz either. the opening video (season 1) is very addictive too

LOL that sakura-watching festival was hilarious XD XD Morita's so unpredictable. Trust him to hold a concert for himself with flyers, spotlights, and everything when his graduate thesis is due. XD

You mean the sempai that appeared in the manga, who runs a farm? It was so funny when he left. XD Poor Mayama, Takemoto and Morita, they totally worshipped him XD

I really feel sorry for Takemoto too, especially since his dad died when he was a kid. I almost cried when Takemoto was taken to the hospital and had to repeat a year [although Morita's "I'LL BE BACK~!" was the funniest thing I've ever seen and cheered me up]

I just wish Hagu would grow up a little, there hasn't been much development from her other than the time she fell ill from peer pressure/went shopping with Morita/wore his brooch. I wish some of the episodes would be from her POV~

Yeah, the first opening and ending are beautiful, especially the instrumentals. I don't like the second ending too much, though.

Also, don't you just love the background music that appears whenever Morita does something stupid?
