You know, I just figured out that the real reason Naruto: Shippuden is on Disney XD (outside of being on tv again, of course) is probably to piss off Cartoon Network by helping their competition. Which is great.

It cant even really be considered a legit cartoon show, because it's really aimed for adults and just satires everything.
Yeah South Park is definitely an adult show, my parents don't watch it through, adult cartoons kind of turn them off. (Plus, doesn't that show have a lot of super 'bad' adult things happen?)
And Sponge Bob is still on, but it might as well be canceled since it's so gawd awful. (Seriously, who watches it nowadays?)

B Ah, so that's what it was. Hong Kong Phooey. I know that show, I even taped it for my brothers. (The karate is what confused me.)

CN decided to focus more on live action, so they said suck it to Toonami, miguzi and most of their anime, the stuff on adult swim and pokemon diamond and pearl (even though the manga version is way better) are the only anime left

Re: So why did CN decide to get rid of their anime again?
*Sighs* Anime and cartoon are synonymous. Anime = cartoon. Cartoon = anime. Anime is short for animation. It's a borrowed word. Anime can be used for anything "animated". Anime is pretty much the Japanese's word for "cartoon", just as how in America and other places, we refer to animated stuff as cartoons. Geez... We only use "anime" to differentiate it from the American made stuff. Should go back to what it was called back in the day to really make the distinction..."Japanime/Japanimation". Cartoon Network used to have a block in the mid-90s called "Saturday Japanime". Used to come on Saturday nights.
Anyway, I haven't watched Cartoon Network regularly for a couple of years and it's mainly because my television doesn't get the station anymore. The other televisions in the house do, but my parents and grandmother watch those. I have basic cable. They have Digital. They watch more television than I do, but I use the internet more than them...so given the choice, I'd rather have fast internet than digital cable.
That aside, I didn't know CN wasn't showing anime shows anymore. I keep hearing how the programming isn't all that great anymore.
Oh, and slightly OT, I still don't get why Teen Titans was canceled if it had decent ratings. I really liked it, despite the fact that they were ambiguous as to which Robin it was, although, I'm going to assume Dick Grayson for it (since in the comics, Dick Grayson was the leader of the original Teen Titans and he was the leader of the New Teen Titans [which the animated series was loosely based on given the characters used], up to a point).
I liked it even if it did tone down almost everything when comparing it to the comics...like Terra's story and character (*coughs*slut*coughs*) or Starfire being more hot-tempered and quick to kill an enemy and having to be stopped by the others, or Raven's pacifist nature which affects how she fights (and the fact that she's allowed to "feel" and show emotion for the comics...sorta) or Beast Boy/Changeling's perverted nature in general (likes to stare at Starfire's bust a lot lol), etc....

how come cartoon network hasn't changed their name to "Network" already?
