Crocodile took 3-4 fights before being defeated, does that count?

and really, I'm pretty sure the major examples stated are much worse than the usual examples. Those sound like they're about as long as more minor fights like the Prince vs. Gokudera or some other only semi-important, middle of the arc fight.
