i'm just curious of how anime and manga are edited with english language...i don't understand some terms like TLC, PRed, and the like...
if someone can elaborate the whole process...thanks a lots!!!!
sorry for the bother...

haha...i think so too!GinRei wrote: TLC could either mean "Tender Loving Care", or more likely for this situation: "Translation Check".
PR means "Proof read".
And while some may scoff at the idea of "Tender Loving Care" being applied to anime and manga, sometimes it needs it. Chapter 676 needed it (someone bug Jd- for the proof), and OVA 8's video needs it I believe.
It needs tender loving care because the quality is bad???GinRei wrote: TLC could either mean "Tender Loving Care", or more likely for this situation: "Translation Check".

I think this was mentioned in at least one other thread but apparently, OVA8 is horrible and traumatized some of the staff members.sdf1macross wrote: Yeah, I was refering to the OVA because I remembered that post where JD said the quality wasn't the best, but was that the reason you said it needed Tender Loving Care??
Well, I don't know the exact process that DCTP uses, but this is how my group does it (in this order usually): Translate (TL), sometimes Translation Check (TLC), Edit, Time, Typeset/Kara (TS), Encode, Quality Check (QC), Distro/Releasehetaera10 wrote: hi...

DCTP might do it a different way, however.
EDIT: Oh, and this is for anime, not manga.
