With the new talk about smash brothers 4 coming for the 3DS and Wii U figures we would have a thread to discuss. Of course talk about the previous smash brothers games.

Right now we could discuss of the three newcomers Villager, Megaman, and Wii Fit Trainer.

Newcomers: Secret Characters

I think MegaMan was a great choice for a new player, but seriously, Wii fit Trainer?

I bet WFT will end up being a useful character and then megaman stops being used after the first year.

One thing I notice on these trailers is that yoshi is not in them. He is one of the original 8 in smash bros, so are they going to completely redesign him that it would be a surprise when they show him? they showed Pit and Bowser instead.

Wouldn't surprise me if they gave him his Yoshi Yarn or Yoshi Island look.

That said, I don't think I've ever really cared about starting characters. I usually use Pikachu just long enough to unlock someone I care about. In the first game it was Captain Falcon. In melee it was Marth and Roy. I suppose in Brawl Ike was a starting character, so that was actually nice. Either way, I want Awakening characters in the game. If they put Owain in, so much insanity shall ensue! (Though I doubt he'll make it as a playable.)

WFT looks awesome, The Villager could be useful, but I feel like my control with him will be like me with Ness :V Megaman I feel like he could be better

Especially since that seems to have been the reaction of many people to that character being in the game.

I am a bit confused as to why they chose to include the Wii Fit Trainer, but from what I've seen, I actually like her. She should be pretty entertaining, if it's just to turn on a Level 9 NPC and watch her go to town on everyone.

My sister told me that I'll be seeing a lot of her when we play together.

From what I heard Sakurai purposely put her in as an unexpected character that no one would have predicted or even suggested her to be in. Since majority of fans kept on requesting different characters to be in.

Though I loved how Megaman is the most requested character to be in brawl only to be overshadowed by everyone else.
