Orphan Black

So, I found out about this show after it ended and I've been hooked since then. I will probably just leave the trailer and the opening scene here as I'm not really good at explaining the premise without spoiling pretty much everything.
Spoiler: Trailer
Spoiler: Opening Scene
The pilot is not epic or anything and it actually took ~3 episodes for me to really get engrossed.
Edit: Season 1 contains just about 10 episodes. So, it is not like you need to have a lot of commitment.

It is on my watchlist. But i have got a lot to go through. I liked the trailers though. Seemed like good sci-fi.

Oh, how are you finding it so far? I guess season 1 finished its run in the UK.

I started a marathon since i am caught up in all the other anime, manga and comics i am on...... I got 4 episodes in before i had a higher priority target and till now, i am enjoying it. I really liked the differences between the women and the plot twists coming on and on, some unexpected, most not-so-much. I dont think i will be able to continue my marathon anytime soon till Friday or so..........

The season finale had the feels and the expected and unexpected twists. It was really nice. I am looking forward to the second season.

Literally only just got around to finishing series 1 (series 2 starts airing over here on Wednesday) and I have to say I'm so glad I managed to avoid most of there spoilers. Most of the romance stuff feels shoved in (no, Paul, you're still fairly meh to me), but the characterisation (especially of the clones and Felix) and the plot twists are amazing.
Spoiler:
Alison/Allison in that last episode though. I knew she was going over the edge, but I have to say I didn't see the Ai-howeveryouspellthename-y bit coming. It's tragic, really :/.

I just got around catching up on Season 2. It is definitely taking a different direction and feeling so different to its freshman season.

EDIT: Done. Not many spoilers in there, tho.
Spoiler:
Season 2 is awesome at parts (focus on Siobhan, Carl, Rachel and many others), but Allison's screwing up again and again is a bit too repetitive. Also, Paul's character arc is confusing. I dont understand his motivations anymore.

Sorry, but given that the UK air dates are eleven(?) days behind the US ones would you mind tagging spoilers.
Spoiler:
Wondering whether Sarah being cut behind her ear is relevant. Didn't Beth also supposedly have a cut there or somewhere near there? It could easily be coincidence, but it seems interesting.

(Keep in mind I'm still two eps behind the US/Canada so if anything related to this has been revealed I don't know and don't want to know until it airs. However, any speculation would still work ^^;.)

EDIT: At least if Sarah has super healing like they've been implying with Kira(sp?) and Helena we'll probably get to find out now?

Is this good? I've been hearing a lot about it and I'm considering adding it to my watchlist now that Hannibal is done. What is it actually about?

Yes, it's great. Only ten episodes a series as well so it's fairly easy to catch up on (iPlayer probably has all the UK-aired season two eps).

But anyway, you'll probably have heard enough about it to know there are clones already. If not, then I have pretty much no way to describe this without being spoilery so yeah. I think the TV Tropes description doesn't give it full justice (for example, it dips into other genres fairly regularly and Maslany's (and her acting double who doesn't get enough appreciation either) acting is amazing) but it'll do so: "After witnessing the suicide of a woman who happens to look just like her, street-wise orphan Sarah Manning assumes her identity in order to access the massive amounts of cash in the dead woman's savings. But their uncanny resemblance is not sheer coincidence: she and Elizabeth (the woman she's impersonating) are clones, and there are more of them all across the world. Not only that, but they're being killed off. Suddenly what looked like an easy con for Sarah is now an investigation to unravel two conspiracies: who created the clones, and who wants to wipe them out."

I would recommend you watch the first two episodes together (though if you have the time it would make more sense to watch all of S1 at once tbh :x).

Spoiler:
I get that Tony was trying to freak Felix out to figure out what was going on, but those almost incestuous tones in their scenes still messed with me a bit tbh ^^;.

I wonder how Rachel will "fix" Ethan's mistakes though (for a second there I was paranoid his drink was spiked with something or poisoned); is she after Kira for her own perhaps? Ethan said Rachel was Kira's age when she was taken and she's clearly a product of DYAD for the most part so maybe she thinks it's possible with Kira also. Well, these are just random thoughts, I suppose.

(And nice to see Alison's side of things return to a more humorous story. Their confessions amused me.

Spoiler:
Orphan Black devolves from Sci-fi to a woman's ability to have children and how her identity is defined by it.
