Re: Smallville.......
It's not the worst series I've watched :x. Not watched absolutely every episode but that's my general opinion of it.

I liked it ^^
I haven't watched every single episode, but I've seen most of the series. And it is one of my favorites too

The ending needed work.

I think you need to learn to count.

Re: Smallville.......
Length of episode has no relation to how how long a series is. Length of a series is based purely on number of episodes.
General Hospital: 12,020 episodes and counting
Days of Our Lives: 11,271 episodes and counting
The Wonderful World of Disney: 1,224 episodes
One Life to Live: 11,096 episodes
All My Children: 10,712 episodes
Sesame Street: 4,344 episodes and counting
Power Rangers: 704 episodes and counting
The Simpsons: 508 episodes and counting
Law and Order: 456 episodes
Friends: 236 episodes
Everybody Loves Raymond: 210 episodes
So yeah, it's long, but it's not even close to one of the longest shows. I think you need to learn how to research before you start talking down to people, since it barely beats out Raymond in episode count, and doesn't beat out Friends. Even if you were to count each episode twice for the length, it doesn't even come within 15% of the Simpsons. And obviously, this list leaves out things like various News shows, Sports shows, and gameshows (ie: Price is Right).

To be fair, I don't think those soap operas will ever end. They'll just keep introducing new characters when they have to kill off the old ones.
Smallville is good at points, and extremely irritating at others. I really couldn't stand Lana, but Lois, Oliver, Chloe, and Jimmy were all awesome.

Re: Smallville.......
Oliver and Chloe were the only good things about most episodes I saw. Them and random Justice Society shenanigans.

Re: Smallville.......
I think you need to stop reading Wikipedia for your information... It holds the world record for longest CONSECUTIVE episodes of a SCI-FI show in the UNITED STATES.Conan-chandesune wrote:218 episodes, each 43 mins in length??GinRei wrote:It's not even close to one of the longest.Conan-chandesune wrote: It's one of the longest

Take out any of those terms, and it is no where NEAR the Guinness Book of World Records. Doctor Who, for instance, has over 700 episode and counting. Consecutive? It beat out Smallville before the show Hit the 3rd Doctor. And if you are talking total length in terms of minutes... Doctor Who beat it before the tenure of the 4th Doctor Tom Baker finished (about midway to be exact) (~450 ~25 minute episodes) (In terms of total episodes Doctor Who has 700 some episodes and counting)
If you take out consecutive... Star Trek makes a mockery of Smallville in Sci-fi for number of episodes and length... With nearly 700 episodes of 45 minutes in length. Not to even mention the 11 movies.
I won't even get into Super Sentai and Kamen Rider... That is just being mean. (That is why they had to say things like consecutive, US and Sci-fi)
I could continue with other shows, but like Ginrei said, do your research.
As for the show itself... It started out good for me, and declined severely as the seasons progressed. It wasn't a bad series but it wasn't the best either.

In numbers ,yes but half of your listed shows are pointless. Power Rangers, Friends and the Wond.....neyGinRei wrote: Length of episode has no relation to how how long a series is. Length of a series is based purely on number of episodes.

Hontou???
That's so sad. General Hospital's all right though.

Re: Smallville.......
Congratulations, you just used your own opinion to deem the worth of other series in order to keep your original claim "correct". Just admit you were wrong.
By the way, there are many who would say Smallville, or even Superman, is pointless. So I guess by your logic, your runtime and episode length means nothing either.
