I ended up listening to B'z all day long while working
Luckily I can work when I want to because it's still christmas break :=)

There is a very unsubstantiated rumor going around that B'z will be providing the main theme and an insert song to the drama Renai Neet when it begins airing on January 20th. This drama stars Yukie Nakama in the leading role (famous for being the lead in Gokusen), so it will likely be a hit.

HOWEVER!

Two things:

1) The two songs B'z are purported to be providing are "DODONPA!!" and "氷柱 (Tsurara)". I do not think B'z would release a song called "DODONPA!!" because it just really doesn't sound like a B'z title.

2) The only source is a random poster on 2ch and while some news has been broken there before, there's about eight times as many fakes. I believe this one to be fake as well, but thought I would report in on it here just to give people a sense of what the fake rumors look like when they do come through.

I could be wrong, but... I am not expecting B'z to be involved in this drama as of this writing. Un-hype!?

I don't like the song title either. Where is my awesome Koshi's artistic sense if it is the case? Anyway, look forward for news as well as confirmation.
Edit: Read through the movie introduction. Liked it already, romance comedy, huhh?

After some research, and once realosing, that my japanese is way to bad, it seems to be a rumor.
I try to find solid proof.

So it seems that 氷柱(Tsurara) is the theme and DODONPA!! the insert song. Still there is nothing that confirms that theory, only wild guesses from fans on some blogs.

So All I could dig up, at least stuff I was able to understand:

There is nothing to it, a lot of people think it's not true with those two songs you mentioned Jd-,
But why shouldn't it be?
Leaving the titles aside I think they can be good songs
We have to wait and see.
