B'z 23rd Anniversary Live Compilation Album II

For more information on this project and download links for the first installment, please see this post.

Here we are again, and this time we have quite a few rarities included. Some of these I am certain a great majority of listeners will have never even heard before, much less knew existed.

This time around, I am only posting the unlabeled version first, meaning no songs are labeled within the archive and everything is as if you were at the concert and had no idea what the setlist was to bring. Later tonight or tomorrow, I'll get the original version up and then will explain why I chose what songs I did for both this one and the first. This will be the last of these, so get hype!

UPDATE! Both versions are now available! Enjoy!

Today is September 23rd, which means...

It's Koshi's birthday!

The B'z singer often referred to by fangirls (and boys) during concerts as "INAAAAAAABBAAAAAA-SAAAAAANNNNNNN!" turns 47 today.

You probably just had to do a double take. That's right! FORTY-SEVEN! Koshi was just two days from turning 24 years old when B'z released their debut album all those years ago.

But, Koshi is perhaps noteworthy as more than just just half of B'z. I believe he may have also uncovered the fountain of youth.

One of those pictures is from 1995--sixteen years ago. The other is from 2011.

This may well be a case for Conan himself.

A Japanese friend of mine and fellow B'z fan studying here in the U.S. at the moment saw this in one of his textbooks recently. Is it a sign--!?

Tak will be featured on Anna Tsuchiya's upcoming collaboration album.

There are only a few shows left in the arena portion of the C'mon tour. Then, there will be a one month break before the big dome tour kicks off.

New B'z Pepsi NEX holiday commercial featuring Itsuka no Merry Christmas

Also! B'z will be returning to the stage to complete the C'mon tour beginning in two days on December 4th when the dome tour begins at the Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome. The dome tour is set to run through nine dates, with the final performance coming on Christmas Day at Tokyo Dome.

Same. Classy commercial. If we had Pepsi NEX over here, I'd totally buy it.

Now that the first dome show has wrapped up, we know the setlist, and it's a great one!

B'z LIVE-GYM 2011 -C'mon- Dome Tour Setlist

(bolded songs are those added after the arena tour setlist)

01. Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo
02. Samayoeru Aoi Dangan
03. Don't Wanna Lie
04. Pilgrim
05. BE THERE
06. Homebound
07. Boss
08. Meimei
09. DAREKA
10. SPLASH! (English Version)
11. Brotherhood
12. #1090 -Thousand Dreams- (Tak's solo)
13. BLOWIN'
14. Ichibu to Zenbu
15. Hadashi no Megami
16. Liar! Liar!
17. ZERO
18. DIVE
19. The Meister
20. C'mon

Encore

21. Itsuka no Merry Christmas
22. ultra soul 2011
23. Calling

Itsuka no Merry Christmas is being played live for the first time in six years (last performed on the Christmas edition of Music Station in 2005), and in fact, it's the first time it's been played during a LIVE-GYM since 2003. The song has only been played at LIVE-GYMs a total of five times, ever, before today: December 24th and 25th of the 1994 tour, and December 20th, 24th, and 25th of the BIG MACHINE tour back in 2003. The good news? When C'mon is released on DVD, we'll finally have a DVD performance of the song! Hype!
