Hello everybody,

I have question about the intro "Ai wa Kurayami no naka de" from ZARD.

I am looking for a specific version of the song. It should be the same as in Detective Conan where the first lines of lyrics are:
Ai wa tesaguri kurayami no naka de

Odoru it's gonna be a great night, yeah~

Yoake no highway

Kono omoi to be your slave

Oh! tonight and everynight, you'd be mine
Meutsuri ki ni naru koi no kakehiki
....
I found this song somewhere in the Internet as Full Version song (but I can't find the link anymore), but I couldn't find the CD where it is on so that I could buy it. On the other hand I found a dozen CDs with a different version of the song, where the first lines of lyrics are:
Ai wa tesaguri kurayami no naka de
Odoru it's gonna be a great night, yeah~

Kakenukeru freeway
Kono omoi to be your slave
Oh, you, crazy rainy night, no one care
Sunao ni nare night nureta memories
....
Does anybody know something about this? I am really looking for the CD (title, release year) which has the first mentioned version (like in the Detective Conan intro).

Thank you in advance.

Kon'nani mo for you
Kan'jiteru but you're so cold
Oh! tonight and everynight, you'd be mine
Meutsuri ki ni naru koi no kakehiki

Ai wa tesaguri kurayami no naka de
Odoru it's gonna be a great night, yeah~
Ai wa kimagure beat ni dakare
Mitsumete in your eyes oh, yeah

Yoake no highway
Tsubuyaita to change your mind
Oh, crazy crazy night, no one care
Amaku setsunai kokoro ni in my dream

* ai wa maboroshi kurayami no naka de
Odoru it's gonna be a great night, yeah
Ai wa furuete beat ni dakare
Kono mama in your eyes oh, yeah

Ai wa tesaguri kurayami no naka de
Odoru it's gonna be a great night, yeah~
Ai wa kimagure beat ni dakare
Mitsumete in your eyes
The 2 parts you are mentioning are both in the full version song.

I know this. But there are two versions of the song.
The first is the one which you can find everywhere (see your lyrics). And the second one is the one which you hear in detective conan and it starts with
Ai wa tesaguri kurayami no naka de

Odoru it's gonna be a great night, yeah~

Yoake no highway

Kono omoi to be your slave

Oh! tonight and everynight, you'd be mine
Meutsuri ki ni naru koi no kakehiki
....
And later on you get the second line:
Ai wa tesaguri kurayami no naka de
Odoru it's gonna be a great night, yeah~

Kakenukeru freeway
Kono omoi to be your slave
Oh, you, crazy rainy night, no one care
Sunao ni nare night nureta memories
....
If you don't believe me, here you can download the second version of the song, which I am looking for and prefer.

Now you say, why do I look for this version when I have it already?!
When you listen to it you will hear the bad quality, because it is from the website where I found it. I would like to have a high quality version of the song, so I am looking for the CD! :)
Beside this, the second version is about 5:05 min. long. The first only 4:50 min.

Thanks for every advice.

P.S.: Of cause it could be that this version is just made by somebody from the original version, but for me it doesn't sounds like and the song is a bit longer. But if somebody have a proof that confirm that this second version is just a fake version, I am happy to learn about the truth! :)

Alright... then, are you sure it's not a remix though?

After hearing it, I was suspecting that too. My former classmates liked to do remixes with American musics. Therefore, I was wondering if it was a remix made by fans.
Another possibility is that this version was sung in a live concert and therefore there is no CD of it.

Hence the bad quality, even possibly sung by her in a radio show or something ^^, because the anime opening itself is a remix ^^

I did not know that. Thank you for the information.

Well, I am not sure myself. I am only listening the possibility. However, you are right. It could also be a radio show.

Yep, because Jpop singers, the ones I'm a daifan of <3 included likes to remix their songs in radio shows ^^

Didn't bother reading the topic, but:

This was a tribute opening. ZARD had already released the song on her first single (I believe) as a B-side. When she died, the Conan producers teamed with their usual buddies from GIZA to give her the next OP. They brought in SCHON to help remix it (and to play guitar, if I'm not mistaken, but this is all from memory). Basically: They took the original and reworked it from the master stems, but the originals were not of the greatest recording quality. As a result, Aya Kamiki was brought in to help fill some of the gaps, along with Naoki Kojin for some parts. SCHON's reworked version is what you hear on the OP, and the only version of this for sale is on the Tsubasa wo Hirogete (Movie 12 theme) single... and later on some of her posthumous collections.

This may have all been posted already, but if not, there you go.
