Is anyone else here a fan of the guy who wrote a magician-thief whose father was killed by a criminal organization who wanted him to work for them, whose best friend is a midget and who is in love with a police girl? Y'know, Zal Innez? XD

What I mean to say is, any other Christopher Brookmyre fans?

And is anyone else getting the new Terry Pratchett book? It's the fourth of the Feegle books! ♥

a combination between myth and modern world - just like percy jackson and the lightning thief, but more.. how do I say it, mature? And it's not limited only to greek myth.

... since I am too lazy to type.. BAM! A LINK!

Ow wow I saw a few words in it and I'm immediately interested. It combines a lot of mythology and mysteries!
Thanks for suggesting, I'll definitely check whether I can get it at bookshops/libraries here. And that Dee reminds me of Dr. John Dee.
EDIT: I read on and it confirmed my suspicion, it IS Dr. John Dee after all  ;D
And the dark elders remind me of the necronomicon too  :P

Currently my favorite book is 'A Clockwork Orange'. :)
You can't understand the movie without reading the book.
It doesnt give a lot of details, so it leaves a lot up to your imagination to fill in the details.
^_^
If you're 18+, I suggest you read it.
It's pretty intense and made me cry a couple times. xP!

Death Note: Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases

It's a spin-off novel of Death Note. I read it a month ago and I plan to read it again soon. The twist is AWESOME!

The Hunger Games is amazing!  Hopefully the movie will live up to expectations (though it's unlikely, really).

I just read a book called City of Masks by David Walters on my Kindle.  It was better than I expected, to be honest.

The Cat Who... - Lillian Jackson Braun
Warriors - Erin Hunter
Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling
When the Wind Blows, The Lake House - James Patterson
The Inheritance Cycle - Christopher Paolini

I did not care for the last four or five books in the Cat Who series for many different reasons. You would have to read them to know what and why. :P

Edit:
The Prey series by John Sandford
The Virgil Flowers by John Sandford
The Alex Delaware series by Johnathan Kellerman are all excellent thriller/crime series that have become my latest literary addiction.

Anything written by Brandon Sanderson is amazing.  I especially recommend the Mistborn series, and the Stormlight Archive (of which only the first, The Way of Kings, is out).

I love Maria V. Snyder's books all of them from the Study Trilogy, Glass Trilogy the Inside out and Outside in Series and now her Healer series...
I also tend to favor Lynn Kurland for deeper fantasy and time travel romance she writes about two books a year...
Tamora Pierce is also a really good read too, she's quite wonderful with her strong female heroines who know what they want and they just go for it!
The Harry Potter series is also really good...
Princess Bride by William Goldman...a really good bit of political satire...
A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
I tend to dwell in the fantasy section of books but I'll pick up almost anything...
I like quite a bit more I just can't think over much on them...

I HATE TWILIGHT!!! It's a disgrace of a novel and should burn in hell!!

Well, I really love the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R., the fact I'm the fan.
As result, I collect S.T.A.L.K.E.R. the book.
For me they just awesome.  :D

And, of sure, I'm reading Sherlock Holmes.

Overmore, I really like Stiven King.

Dean Koontz - Relentless, Breathless, The Darkest Evening of the Year, The Key to Midnight, By the Light of the Moon, Velocity, and What the Night Knows. Soon to read more from him.
Darren Shan - The Saga of Darren Shan (Cirque de Freak series) (I despise the movie, so it is dead to me)
Suzanne Collins - The Hunger Games series
Various Authors - The 39 Clues

Andreas D. Hesse (especially Schatten über Fraterna(Shadows above Fraterna); only in German)
Tamora Pierce (especially Daughter of the Lioness)
Katja Brandis (only in German)
Eoin Colfer (Artemis Fowl)
Joachim Fernau (only in German AFAIK)

Also, on a lower rank, though they used to be up there, Christopher Paolini, T.A. Barron and Tonke Dragt. Also, all but Fernau's and (most of) Dragt's qualify as Fanatsy.
If  ;), :D, ;D, ::), :P, :-X, :o or >:D are attached, that paragraph may not be 100% serious. Seriously.
