Spoiler:
Who ISN'T going to be in Avengers 2? XD Ant-Man and probably Wasp are going to be around, and I've heard rumors for everyone from Falcon to Ms. Marvel to Scarlet Witch.
About Iron Man 3:
Spoiler:
I was supremely ambivalent about the Mandarin; he was there, no it was the AIM guy, no but the AIM guy was him all along with the tattoos and shouted it out half-blood prince style at the end, but maybe he was speaking figuratively, like everyone's a little bit racist sometimes~ , whatever. :P Whatever they needed to do to make the movie happen, because the non-plot parts of the movie were love. ^^

Rhodey was impressive. XD Why did they bring in Iron Patriot, again? Was it really just to sell toys? It looked a thousand times better than the Mark 42, anyway.

I enjoyed the millions of armors scene. I think I could see the production team being like "We might not get to do another one you guys! WE HAVE TO DO THIS SCENE NOOOOOOW!!"

@Tony in this movie: After seeing the trailer, I was kind of afraid it was going to be like Spider-Man 3, where the hero gets really wrathful and dark, and by the end we all learn our lesson about revenge only hurting the one that seeks it or whatever.

I was actually pretty taken aback with what I ended up seeing, though. Tony got very wrathful and very dark--he straight-up said "I'm going to kill you" to more than one person, and did it. :P Killed a bunch of AIM guys, up close and personal, usually spitting a "take that you SOB" type line while he was at it. It really was just Tony being incredibly stressed out to begin with, sh*t happening to his loved ones, and him vowing to blow the hell out of everybody who was involved, then doing it. Which was all expected, but the movie never scolded him for it the way it probably will scold Thor and Captain America when it happens to them.

And I don't hate that. It was actually kind of refreshing to see the character do what made sense for him right then without having to watch karma kick him in the butt later in the most literal way possible. As a member of the viewing public, I am aware that blowing holes in people's chests with giant lasers is kinda dark. :P I don't need the "true heroes don't seek revenge" message in every movie I watch. I might need it in Thor because of what Thor is, and I might need it to a lesser degree in Captain America because of what he is. For PTSD-ing Iron Man, vicious and wrathful kinda made sense, and him having a plot- forced epiphany and rising above all the dark stuff all at once wouldn't have felt right.

So yeah, I liked it.

Thor and Captain America have both killed, though; Thor was shown slaughtering Jotuns by the truckload and has no doubt killed many times before in battle, and Steve openly and easily killed plenty of enemy soldiers in combat, who, granted, were the guys too evil for the Nazis, but still. I don't think we're looking at a breed of superheroes who are conflicted about ever killing opponents. Tony's killed terrorists and enemy combatants, too. The only ones who've ever faced any conflict over killing are Clint, who was brainwashed into killing guys on his own team, and Bruce, who has killed innocent humans while in Hulk-mode. Betty stopped him from killing the Abomination, but still.

I do love that one mook who is the cleverest background character in the whole Marvel universe, though. "I'll be honest, I don't even like working here, these people are weird."

Yeah, pretty sure the only big name heroes that are 100% anti-killing are Batman, Nightwing, and Spider-Man. The rest are generally willing to make exceptions if need be.

Batman in Dark Knight Rises: "No guns, no killing!"

Possibly the most unintentionally ironic line in cinematic history.

It does help make the difference between, say, Spiderman and Captain America that Spiderman is a teenage vigilante and Captain America is a WWII-trained soldier. Of course soldiers kill enemies. It's kinda in the job description.

7 second teaser.
Also, i actually like it when any hero (except Bats and Spidey) kill. It's due to the fact that death at least has a bit of finality to it.

Spoiler:
That's true. What made me look twice wasn't the killing itself exactly, though, it was the wrathful/vengeful aspect of it. Even when Cap or Daredevil or whoever ends up killing somebody, it's rare for the story to fail to negatively address any "Take THAT, scum" feelings they have while doing it. It's usually treated more like a kind of awful duty they had to take up, rather than a moment of personal catharsis--or if it was vindictive, there's generally some disapproval from other characters, etc.

In Thor's trailer, he straight-up tells Loki he's going to kill him when Loki betrays him, and it doesn't get much more personal than Thor and Loki. :P I'm interested to see if that happens, and if it feels any different from Iron Man 3 if it does.
