I never thought he was actually dead.

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

Yeah, it was confirmed shortly after Avengers hit the big screen that he was still alive, considering people started pointing out his contract had more movies on it. That's when it was confirmed he'd be in Iron Man 3, I believe.

Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
I want a repeat of the last scene in the first Iron Man movie where Tony's wandering around his place and then JARVIS informs him there's a security breach and he sees a shadow walk through the door and he's like "do you have to do this every time you visit, Fury?" and the lights come on and it's Phil
That would be so awesome.

I think he'll appear in Avengers 2, in which, like Ultimates 2, Avengers will distance themselves from SHIELD.GinRei wrote:That's what they were saying after Avengers came out, anyway.Kaito Lady wrote:He'll be in Iron Man 3?!GinRei wrote: Yeah, it was confirmed shortly after Avengers hit the big screen that he was still alive, considering people started pointing out his contract had more movies on it. Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
So I found a leaked footage of Ant-man on spoiler TV, they usually don't post unverified things, so it could be the real thing:

I just have a hard time understand how that guy can go so fast, where does he find the energy? I thought that humans were weaker than insects when reduced to their size? Unless there is a toally good reason for it, I mean, I don't know anything about Ant-man ^^

Marvel: It's not too late to film this.mangaluva wrote: I want a repeat of the last scene in the first Iron Man movie where Tony's wandering around his place and then JARVIS informs him there's a security breach and he sees a shadow walk through the door and he's like "do you have to do this every time you visit, Fury?" and the lights come on and it's Phil

Edgar Wright is and always has been a great talent, so if there's anyone who can make an Ant-Man movie and make it relevant, it's him. Admittedly, I really don't know a lot about Ant-Man or where he fits into the Marvel universe, but I'm always ready for new and interesting characters in the Marvel film franchise.Hime-Chan wrote: So I found a leaked footage of Ant-man on spoiler TV, they usually don't post unverified things, so it could be the real thing:

Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Assuming we're talking about Hank Pym, the man's absolutely bonkers. XD But it's a kind of bonkers that could make for a really compelling movie character if they snag the right actor, so I'm looking forward to it.Jd- wrote:

Superman = Captain America > Aquaman = Hal Jordan > Wonder Woman > Barry Allen > Thor > Martian Manhunter > The Hulk > Wasp > Hawkeye > [power gap] > Iron Man = Batman > [power gap] > Hank Pym

Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Hmmmmmmmm... I know that I read somewhere (maybe also in this topic) that the movie may focus on more than one Ant-Man in some form. I'm not sure if it's relevant to that point, but Edgar Wright has been trying to make this movie for ages now (since at least 2006?). Back then, of course, there wasn't a universe he needed to work it all into. In order to make the movie now, I'm sure Kevin Feige and company have already figured out how it'll all come together.pofa wrote:Assuming we're talking about Hank Pym, the man's absolutely bonkers. EDIT: Found where I read that. It's from an interview dating all the way back to 2006.
Superherohype: I think it's interesting that the Ant-Man you knew and grew up with was the Scott Lang one, since most people I would think know the one who hung with the Wasp in "Tales to Astonish."
Wright: Well, the thing is that what we want to do, the idea that we have for the adaptation is to actually involve both. Is to have a film that basically is about Henry Pym and Scott Lang, so you actually do a prologue where you see Pym as Ant-Man in action in the 60's, in sort of "Tales to Astonish" mode basically, and then the contemporary, sort of flash-forward, is Scott Lang's story, and how he comes to acquire the suit, how he crosses paths with Henry Pym, and then, in an interesting sort of Machiavellian way, teams up with him. So it's like an interesting thing, like the "Marvel Premiere" one that I read which is Scott Lang's origin, it's very brief like a lot of those origin comics are, and in a way, the details that are skipped through in the panels and the kind of thing we'd spend half an hour on.
