- The Whole Crack in the Wall thingy were... the Time Lords asking if they could come back.
- Of course they attracted the whole Universe and when it was known that it were indeed the Time Lords, everybody was afraid of a new Time war again.
But in the end it were basicly only the Daleks, who were still attacking (who else awaiting the Doctors death.
Who was really out of lives after all. (So Doctor Ten did indeed waste one of his lives). But because of Clara's pleading to the crack aka the Time Lords, the Doctor got a full new regeneration cycle and blew the Daleks away.
Trensalore got never destroyed (of course), we got an hour full of a bit more drama then necessary and Capaldi at the end. And a final Karen Gillan cameo (Her hair is back, YEAH.).
To be continued in Fall 2014
Spoiler:
But if the Time Lords can send further regenerations through then why can't they do anything else? That's a lot of energy which has to somehow make its way to him and if they can just coast energy through surely they can blast enough through to open the crack further or to destroy the enemies. And why did the crack seal afterwards (presuming they could somehow seal cracks in universes which could possibly work, idk) when their only motivation to give him them would be so the Doctor is still around to answer the question (okay, so that bit is YMMV because maybe others believe they'd give it him as thanks). The Silence suddenly being something else the Doctor knows about. Did the TARDIS explode or not? That's the least of my questions right now :/. And then "I have a plan" "I don't have a plan" when he's under the truth shield thing. Continuity, guys.
It was good (the aging Doctor and the impact on Clara was well done imo), but I'd hoped for better.
EDIT: I kind of thought Clara would have seen the moon landing.

Omg I can't stop laughing/crying/laughingcrying. DW why you gotta play with my feelings?
I watched it online yesterday with the Hola Better Internet extension for Chrome on BBC website. But that's because I don't have TV. For those of you who have BBC America I hope you guys see it soon so we can scream about it together .

I'm glad I'm not the only one to be confused about it!
Spoiler:
The Doctor says that he won't forget a single line, and yet, he forgets how to fly a TARDIS? What kind of other crap has Moffat made him forget now?
The Daleks are just getting annoying, there are other ennemies that could have been scarier. How did that town not grow in 300 years? Did the inhabitants just inbred? I'm not sure I understand
Capaldi's accent is rather "violent", I'm going to need some time to get used to it!

To be fair, regeneration has caused memory troubles before.
I think it's easy enough to avoid inbreeding given it's still a town, but the only explanation I can think for the town not expanding is the death toll being high and that wasn't the case at first at all so yeah, bit not good.

I thought the cracks in the universe were sealed when Amy remade the universe?
I thought Gallifrey was sealed inside of a painting?
Which still clashes with the whole thing with the Master and Timothy Dalton?
Also is it just me or every time River Song is mentioned she's treated with less and less respect? I mean her and the Doctor never had anything resembling trust or respect for each other since they met in David Tennant's time so really it's still one of the worst relationships on TV but really?
I can understand the Doctor getting extra regenerations because I'm pretty sure the Master got given extras in the classic series but there's still the crack not making sense, or Gallifrey being in a crack instead of a painting.
Oh, and hark at the ableist joke in the first five minutes of the show! Because aside from being a sexist jerk a lot of the time under Moffat's pen, the Doctor clearly doesn't give a crap about people with mental disorders either! Lovely!
Also, all the people not understanding Peter Capaldi... seriously? He's not even speaking in a strong accent. He's flattened it out a lot more than when he was in In The Thick Of It.
The Doctor says that he won't forget a single line, and yet, he forgets how to fly a TARDIS? What kind of other crap has Moffat made him forget now?
Eh, the Doctor always gets a bit wonky immediately after a regeneration. From Eccleston to Tennant he practically went into a coma, and from Tennant to Smith he spent the first hour or so acting like he was on LSD.

Ah yes, when he tore apart a little girl's kitchen in the middle of the night spitting food all over the place and demands she cooks him more. Can't forget that one.
Spoiler:
When Matt kept going on and on about how he won't forget. I knew he's going to forget quite a bit. Never say never dear Doctor!

I think River Song was brought up because she based off the "psychopath" part of Tasha Lem. Or am I the only person who thinks they're creepily similar? All the way down to the "I can fly the Tardis better then you Doctor geeze stop pressing the breaks noob and hand over the Tardis key".

I love 12th's accent actually

I love handles. He's cuddles. I cried when he died. He was the Doctor's 300 year companion.

I'm glad that Capaldi's getting to keep his accent and still furious that neither Tennant nor Barrowman used theirs. JOHN BARROWMAN HAS THE ONLY SEXY GLASWEGIAN ACCENT IN THE UNIVERSE AND THE TV NEEDS MORE OF IT.
