I disagree. Items are fun. Not so much the smash tokens though.

My favorite thing to do is turn off all items but the ones that explode. Commi's not such a big fan of that, though.

Also, I forgot until Commi and I were playing earlier just how much I hate Olimar. ::)
I agree items are fun, but I prefer, when playing seriously, leaving out the random as much as I can.  Therefore you can't win without skill ;)
Olimar is NASTY! but i just don't like it...

Yeah, almost... FD or the Animal Crossing one which I can't remember the name. I don't have a problem playing in the other ones though :)
There's no fun in that either. :P
Same as above.

I don't like using items.  Too often they trump skill by a ratio of more than 7:1.  As for levels, the only one I can think of in Brawl right off that I refuse to play in is that electroplankton stage or whatever it is.  The one that's bugged to hell and back.

The one where the big creature comes up on the right side of the screen and swallows you every once in a while?  It's not terrible unless you've got a slow person that can't jump to save their lives (literally).

As for playing with items, exploding items are fun.  And chaotic.  Pokeballs are quite amusing as well, since I usually end up with Gardevoir and Goldeen...

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

I don't recall if it has that or not, but electroplankton has the leaves that change colors, angle, and make noise.  The angles can make characters randomly launch themselves into oblivion for no real reason.

Also, items are bad and should feel bad.

Nope you two are talking about different platforms/levels/whatever they're called. I also hate the one with the leaves. -_- It's annoying. But the one with the creature that randomly swallows whoever happens to be standing on its head is kind of fun.

If that's what that creature is called then yes, that's the level that Commi was talking about and that I said was fun.

I don't like the slide in that level... All my grenades just go slope down and turn up being useless! :(

Oh, the leaves... I hate that level too.  I like Final Destination, Castle Siege, and the side-scroll Mario level that I can't remember the name of off the top of my head.

AH, Castle Siege.  I love that stage.  And I know a lot of people hate it, but I love Hyrule Temple when I use Marth.  People think I die if I go off the right upper edge, but then I Blade Dance my way to the bottom platform and they get pissed.

Ah, how could I forget Hyrule Temple?  That's an awesome stage, too.  Speaking of Zelda stages, The Bridge of Eldin is nice as well. Straightforward, even if it is a little frustrating when the middle falls out.
