Thor 2 would be released November 8th 2013, apparently, but they didn't say where.

@mangaluva: this story was completely cute!
Oh for the love of Christ.  They're actually putting the American Son armor in the movie?

At the end of Civil War.  Captain America #25, which is essentially the epilogue to Civil War.

Actually, I think I heard about this. Did he take a bullet for the President or something?

(For that matter, Civil War related question; when did Thor die?)

This was a big news item (actual news) when it happened. I think Captain America was sniped by someone and that caused the Civil War to come to an end. GinRei can give more accurate information, but that's what I seem to remember.

Thor died back in like... 2002 or something, during Ragnarok (which may have possibly been caused by the Scarlet Witch when she went batshit insane, aka the Avengers Disassembled storyarc).  But because he was in a mortal host, or influenced by said host (I forget what he was at that point, but Donald Blake), he was able to disrupt and end the cycle of Ragnarok.  Mjolnir then went and did some stuff, not sure why or where, but it eventually passed through hell and tore it a new asshole.  Dr. Doom followed it like a bad lawyer following an ambulance, and resurrected himself like that.  The hammer then landed in Oklahoma, where a bunch of randoms tried to pick it up.  Thousands of people tried, and were queueing up all nice-like, but none could do it.  This all occurred before Civil War.  Then Donald Blake hopped on a train, went to the site, ignored everyone and cut the line, grabbed the hammer, and shot off in a flash of light, resurrecting Thor.  I forget when this exactly happened, if it was before CW or during CW, but he didn't appear until afterwards.  Shortly after, he beat Iron Man to within an inch of his life, blaming him for killing his "brother" (Cap).

Captain America died after turning himself in to end the Civil War.  When he was headed to trial for treason, the Red Skull had one of his lackies (Crossbones, I believe) snipe from a nearby building.  If I recall, the shot was about to hit the guard who was escorting Cap, but Cap pushed him out of the way and took the bullet himself.  However, that only hit his shoulder.  What ultimately killed him was that his girlfriend, SHIELD Agent Sharon Carter, shooting him three times in the chest and stomach.  She had been brainwashed by Dr. Faustus, another one of Red Skull's lackies.  Cap's dying words were "The crowd... get them to safety... no more... innocents hurt..."

D'aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwww, Cap! Though I'm willing to bet quite a lot of money that he doesn't stay dead.

Also, I keep getting conflicting accounts of whether Donald Blake was just some random human who found Mjolnir or actually Thor all along who just lost his memories along with his powers. It sounds confusing.

Well, since he already came back, that'd be quite a fixed bet.  :P

I think it was Donald Blake, unless Thor magically obtained DB's medical knowledge.  Though he does stay as Thor for ridiculous amounts of time, so who knows.

Oh yeah, Thor also blamed Tony for the death of Goliath (not Hank Pym, some other Goliath) for dying by Clor's (Clone Thor) hand in Civil War.  Said Tony betrayed his trust by even passively thinking creating an android of him was even remotely okay, let alone allowing it to kill one of his old comrades.

Yeah, I read that chapter. It was a guy called Bill Foster, and it tipped the Civil War because a lot of people, including Spiderman, turned against Tony for it. The Thor clone in general was pretty messed up. I was cheering when Hercules smashed it.

1st armor: he might have taken it after defeating that guy of the 1st movie
2nd armor: didnt the army give it back after the 2nd movie?
4th armor: isnt that the one he used at the beginning of the 2nd movie before he made the new one?

I suspect Tony recreated any destroyed armours for decoration purposes. After all, he designed them and Jarvis likely has the designs for all but the first archived, so he can rebuild them at any time.

1. The armour from the cave.
2. The armour that became the War Machine basis. (Does that mean War Machine has the icing problem...?)
3. The final armour in Iron Man.
4. The new armour from the beginning of Iron Man 2.
5. The suitcase armour.
6. The Badassium armour with the triangular chestpiece that "looks like ass", according to Joss Whedon :P The only armour to get two movies, being at the end of Iron Man 2 and the first half of The Avengers.
7. The bracelet armour.
