Just to go in a different direction here - The new season has usually started by now (for the last few years it started around Easter) but this year the series hasn't begun yet. All we know is that it's sometime later in the year that  the new season is to begin.

So my question is - What are you doing to pass the time until the new season (series) begins?

Yeah, it's going to stop later this year and they're going to show the first 3 episodes in 2012 and the other 6 episodes in 2013.

I know that we will have at least 5 (maybe 6) episodes and a Christmas special this year. They (Steven Moffat) has already released information about the 5th story and it has the departure of the Ponds, so that door will be open for the new companion in the Christmas special. That information was released at the same time as the announcement of the new companion.

I believe that they are trying to stagger things out so that they will be airing an episode on the 50th anniversary date. However there is no information available about the 50th anniversary story.

I am sure many of you already heard but just in case some of you didn't ... I bring sad news that Caroline John ( Played Elizabeth Shaw in 3rd doctor era) had passed away in 5th June 2012... This is such a sad news that just after a year of losing Bridgader and Sarah Jane Smith we lose another classic doctor who companion... Thank you for letting us know about this doublemoonlight. I hadn't heard about the news yet, so it just saddens me every time someone from the classic show is gone.

I bring YET ANOTHER ( OMG CLASSICAL COMPAINION ACTORS ARE DYING OFF SOOO QUICKLY!!!!) Death of actress Mary Tamm who played 1st incanation of Romana ( Romanna I to the fans) she died in 26 of July.

Would've been amazing, they'd've been making it canon to real life so ultimate DW reference . Speaking of which, my full attention wasn't on it so I could've missed something, but I caught nothing DW related at all in the opening ceremony...
