Toonami was being aired in my country every thursday when I was a kid until 2008. I remember the great moments watching Justice League, Teen Titans and Batman Beyond...

My best friend claims it's amazing, but the general consensus for it seems kinda iffy - I'm still excited though, seems like a rather solid pickup for how limited their budget is.

I've yet to hear anyone be "meh" on Deadman Wonderland, if that helps any.  It seems you either really like it, or outright hate it.

Not bad, Deadman Wonderland I hear is a rather good series, and since I haven't seen it yet, it could follow it on a weekly basis

Why are they wasting a slot on Deadman Wonderland? It sucks.

They don't have a whole lot of money :/ basically they are hoping this saturday will generate good enough reviews so they can get a larger budget - I mean right now they can't even get some of their old licensed shows because it costs too much

which is odd as I just assumed they had licensed some of them for all eternity at this rate. (that time they let a random fan change what was on AS one time and made it basically all FLCL and Trigun comes to mind)

(Woah, just posted the wrong reply in this one instead of the protest thread, awesome)

Ahem, anyway! I would be excited to see Conan come back, even though it won't. Someone start telling the Adult Swim brass to air one of the movies or summat.

maybe it'll happen, if toonami does well - they used to have movie nights.  I can see them airing some sweet anime movies like the EVA rebuilds and Ghibli stuff.

They most likely won't bring back any old shows that didn't do well, so, no to case closed :| We'll prob only see like Bebop, Trigun, YYH, Big O, and maybe DBZ when it comes to oldies they used to air.

You know, something random I remembered about that And Then There Were None homage AO in the 100s with the DB was how it was kinda like one of the best episodes of any cartoon I grew up. And it reminded me how much I hate Case Closed's failure in America, questionable dub aside.

I'm not sure why anyone with a computer would watch TV at midnight nowadays. You can get anything you want on the internet, and its easy enough to hook your PC to a TV screen.

Well I have never seen Toonami before so there might be something special I don't know of.

It's da experience man.  Nostalgia factors, mainly it's a stepforward for the R1 anime industry, with a bunch of big names recently shutting down like Bandai.

Something about seeing TOM and those awesome promo bumper clips makes me so excited.  "Space..."
